Silence and Screams

Warner Archive Podcast show

Summary: This week things get a little crazy with Possessed (1947) on Blu-ray starring Joan Crawford followed by a trio of rare Robert Blake DVDs including Mokey (1942), Revolt in the Big House (1958) and Corky (1972). We follow that up with two new silent films, The Cossacks (1928) with John Gilbert and Renee Adoree and the thought-long-lost Why be Good? (1929) starring Colleen Moore. Then the Crime Globe summons us forward in time to chat about Super Globetrotters: The Complete Animated Series with the Harlem Globetrotters. Finally we chat about three classic DVDs now back in print, King's Row (1942) with future President Ronald Reagan, Raymond Chandler's Murder, My Sweet (1944) with Dick Powell and Fritz Lang's Clash by Night (1952) starring Barbara Stanwyck, Robert Ryan and Marilyn Monroe.
