Summary: This Seasons Winter Mix builds slowly with calming piano and journeys into some melodic progressive house and trance. In late 2011, I went to visit some good friends up in Portland Oregon and had a great time exploring the outdoors and the city. My good buddy and his girlfriend recently took the photo I used for this podcast while they were hiking around Mt. Hood (Oregon) and came upon an Icy waterfall with frozen splashes and water spots. Kazusa & Shingo Nakamura - Dice - heard this record earlier in 2011 and always enjoyed it, very smooth piano and calming synths fill this progressive gem. I added a little acoustic guitar on the outro to compliment the melody BT - A Million Stars (Jason Van Wyk Remix) - An excellent record from BT with a great vocal from Kirsty Hawkshaw. There are some other great mixes, but my favorite is the Jason Van Wyk remix, outstanding job! Matt Crofford - Neptune - A new planets record that I am working on that I wanted to get on this winter mix. I've been trying some new techniques with recording guitar and wrote and doubled guitar parts throughout BT - Mercury & Solace (BT 12" Mastermix) - one of the all time classics and one of my favorite records ever. I like to add a classic record to each seasons mix and Mercury & Solace fit perfectly in this winter vibe. This record brings back so many good memories and is another brilliant record by the legendary BT Blend & EcueD - Hot Air Balloons - heard this on soundcloud one day browsing new records and was really digging the sound and smooth vibes of this original record - really nice melodic progressive music Yuri Kane - Right Back - always wanted to play this in one of the seasons podcasts and it felt perfect on this mix. Yuri Kane has some amazing songs, this one is great, really like what he did with the vocals Kobana & Mario Hatchet - Weekend Memories (Terry Da Libra Remix) - really like Terry Da Libra's sound and this is an excellent remix with top notch production of a great track and melody Matt Bukovski - Lucid Dreams (Ost & Meyer Remix) - awesome trance record, very melodic with the classic trance sound Gabriel Batz - Breezes - Amazing energetic beats and melody, always gets me groovin - been listening to this a lot!
