Pink Floyd Lyrics seemed then to me perfect to supplement the idea of this Bootleg : Where is the real war ? Who are the real enemies? who are those people trying to control us behind these never ending wars ? Well 21century will answer these questions I hope... ddpesh is a duo that comes at us from the east side – Brooklyn, New York to be exact. Remixers, mashup artists, and producers, these guys are probably most known for their remix of Chromeo’s “Momma’s Boy” but have a junkload of other gems in their repertoire. Here they stick to the east side sounds with their hometown “Nasty Boy” Biggie Smalls on the mic and hometown band MGMT on the music. Summer In The City

   

It's summer, the weather is going to be better and the temperature is rising.
So this means we need summer partys.
And here we go with 2 in Germany this weekend.

                                               

First, on Friday we can serve you "Mash-Up Your Beach" in Berlin.       DJ Morgoth's Mash-Up Your Bootz Party goes Beach-Party and as usual       Dr.Waumiau & Morgoth rockin' the crowd with a wild mixture of Rock-Pop-Electro-Rap- Metal-Everything music, from yesterday till today. And be sure there will be a lot of summer themed tunez during the sets.
	Also on Friday you can visit       BOOTIE Munich. And the Bavarian guys around BootOX, DJ Y alias JY and FM 24 organized a special "Shower Power Mashup Show". Expect some GoGos dancing for you, with a lot of water... :-) This could be going hot as hell.

Sign Me Baby - New Pheugoo

Definitely one of our favorite Mashup artists of all time here at Mashuptown is Pheugoo.  This Dutch mashmaster consistently churns out great tracks for the community.  What you may not know is that he has even more boots that never make it to the internets.  We often get a taste of what he has conjured up but never releases.  He probably has at least an album of tracks he could release.  And it is all grade 'A' material.  Today however we can present you with a Pheugoo official release.  'Sign Me Baby' features and instrumental of Snoop Dogg's 'Signs' mashed up with the RHCP's 'Tell Me Baby'.  You can find all of Pheugoo's wares HERE.  Follow him on Twitter HERE. Introducing The Battle School - now powered by Guiness

Gotta love virgin mashups.  Lucas from The Battle School pinged us with this track and I immediately felt it was postworthy.  Hailing from Brooklyn Lucas had this insight into the track:

..it just sort of came to me one night when I was drunk and playing around in Ableton (usually a good combo). I was chopping up DVNO when the J-Timbo song just popped into my head. About 6 hours later I had the mashup essentially finished.
I used a Waves L2 limiter on the master bus in Ableton 7, and the beer I used was Guinness. Other than that the effects you hear are just clips stretched out really long and pitched up or down, reversed, or just generally fucked with.

A Guiness powered track.  DVNO mashed up with 'What goes around comes around'.  Cherry stuff - hope to hear more from The Battle School Studios.  You can find more of his work HERE and hispace page HERE.

Illuminoids DJ set at BootieSF this Saturday July 12th

This Saturday July 12th, DJ's A plus D present another 100% all mash-up club event in San Francisco. We (The Illuminoids), will be doing a guest DJ set at on the main stage at midnight. Also, on the bill to open our set with a special  midnight mash-up show perfromance to our L7 vs. CSS mash-up will be  Ana Conda (from SF's weekly drag queen show "The Charlie Horse"). Which will make for a great reunion as she used to introduce Illuminoids Howie Pyro's old band D Generation years ago before concerts.
