The annual Hot Springs JazzFest is held the second weekend of September in the picturesque landscape of beautiful historic downtown Hot Springs National Park. During the outdoor festival you will sample offerings from the Food Court and Merchant Vendors. For families with younger kids, visit the KidZone tent where kids can create "jazzy" crafts and enjoy the benefits of jazz through touch and sound.

Can't Rain On Our Summer!

Gay Rush, Board Member of the Hot Springs Jazz Society covers up as she gathers from the rain in the middle of last nights Gallery Jam at Taylor's Contemporanea of Fine Art. The third gallry jam hosted by Carolyn Taylor, was to be about summer but it felt more like spring when the rain came tumbling down. Musicians and jazz fans found cover under the gallery garden’s awning but they didn’t skip a beat. The music and mingling continued until the rain passed when the crowd again returned to the garden and took their seats. The summer shower was a blessing that cooled the air and encouraged dancing. Jammin' with Jazz at Taylor's Contemporanea of Fine Art Gallery Friday August 29
08/21/2008Starting at 6PM on Friday, August 29, Jammin' With Jazz at Taylor 's Contemporanea Art Gallery , 204 Exchange St. , will feature tunes associated with the summer months. Admission is $12 for members and $15 for non-members. If joining the Hot Springs Jazz Society at this event the admission is applied to your membership fee. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and wine are served. Call 767-0211 for info.
The d'oeuvres are provided by the generosity of Joanne and John, owners of Angel's In the Park, headquartered in the Historical Park Hotel, 211 Fountain St. The bottled water and wine provided by the Hot Springs Jazz Society.

[More]The 17th Annual Hot Springs JazzFest graphics were designed by Chris Markwood Miller, a freelance web and graphic designer, drum playing native of Los Angeles, California. Chris's projects include websites, advertising media and general promotional materials for clients such as Jaguar, Lisa Marie Presley, Microsoft, Avery, EMAK Worldwide, Dreamworks and McGraw Hill. The Jazz Society came to know Chris while he vacationed in Hot Springs. Chris is presently pursuing jazz percussion and graphic design while living and working in New York, New York.
