GPS Phones Review - Nokia 6110 Navigator
November 28th, 2008I have never been a fan of GPS on mobile gadgets. I remember when they first came out, these devices were so primitive that they failed to even do what they were meant for: provide to its user an easy and decent navigation interface.
Most first generation GPS phones had a very mediocre screen resolution and unless you had really good eyes, there was very little you could do to put those things to good use.
Then came a few months ago the Nokia 6110 Navigator.
Well Nokia did not invent the concept but simply made GPS phones more of a serious competition to dedicated GPS devices. Well the screen size is still modest but with a voice navigator you really need not focus so much on the display.
The navigator comes with all the features of modern phones: fast HSPDA internet access, micro SD card, bluetooth connectivity and of course the GPS software.
The only thing you will probably loathe on the Navigator is that is does not come with a mount kit: you will have to order one separately. Meanwhile you can always use the phone as a hinking GPS, once you have downloaded the necessary maps.
