Another visit from comic book Dave, he's beginning to be a regular and I'm not sure if that is good or not. The show is a little different as we play alot of oldies mixed in with a few newer tunes. Everything was going smooth and then Dave mentions Rolling Stone magazine and I go into a rant about how much the mag sucks. As the title says it all, Comic Book Dave drops by the studio and creates all kind of havoc. The guys losts his mind and no one is safe. I try to enlighten him with some classic glamrock like Sweet, Queen, Bowie and new bands like the Diamond Dogs and The Luxury Sweets, but it just got his head spining faster. So its Glamnight, lets go.

Rock n Twang feeling this week. Playing some great songs like Zippa De Do Dey by The Mummies which get some non stop action on the patio followed with a Milkshake song thanks to thee one and only Billy Childless. The show is for all us rockers who have a little hillbilly in us so pull up a tree stump, sit around the firepit and thump you feet to some more great songs by the likes of The Reigning Sound, Jack Oblivian, The Gibson Brothers and a bucket full of more shit kicking hillbilly rants.

Started the night out walking my dog Dakota, listening to The Turbo AC'S, ended with a theme for this show to just blow my ears apart. Loud, fast, bluesy rock n roll from the likes of The Immortal Lee County Allstars, The Bantam Roosters, The Nomads and a bunch of other ear piercing ball busting sing a longs.

With the election coming close and the world facing huge problems I realize that only The Electric Eel Shock can solve all with their great anthem, Rock N Roll Saves the World. All sorts of crap saves this episode and when I replayed it, I kept singing "Boobies and Rock n Roll" by The Rock N Roll Adventure Kids," what a great tune. So come on into the garage for some great sing-alongs from the buzzcocks, the jetboys, the ruts, the jewws and of course the muslims. Yeah...boobies and rock n roll.....

Remodeling, well not really, I just moved a desk in a room and put up a shelf for a bunch of books and BAM!! Motteys Garage is now Motteys Room Full of Blues. That is, the room is painted blue.....so....hopefully everyone liked the glamcast but now its back to the shit that we all love, shit music. We select a great bunch of oldies like Iggy and The Didjits and mix them in with a few of todays great hitmakers like Bad Sports and The Black Lips and many many more. Dave gives his views of The Dark Night, which I violently disagree with, and also we talk of hope that Hollywood doesnt destroy the Batman franchise. I even find time to spin some great tunes, which was kind of hard to shut Dave up, but I did. Listen in all you Batfans to some classis Sham 69, some Dirtbombs, some Manikins (fav of mine) and a ton of other shit that annoyed the comic guy. Now whose more annoying.

It seems like I was lost in Florida for two weeks, but its all good, got to work on my farmers tan. So I'm back and ready for the show, kind-of. I'm in Florida for some fun in the sun, the problem is I am not a sun kind of guy. I did this show before I left knowing I didnt have access to doing a show while on vacation. If my memory is correct, I did a tribute to Johnny Thunders, played some Professionals and some other trash rock plus Comicbook Dave drops by and gives a quick review of Hellboy II. Great timing with Batman being all the rage and oh boy what a movie Batman is. So I hope everyone is good and enjoys the show while I suffer here in the Great Sunshine State, see ya.

Todays episode ended up with alot of classic punk, from the Stiff Little Fingers to The Damned mixed in with alot of todays modern punk popsters. Music with a beat. A loud beat. Shit happens but I still got a right to complain about my lost brother-in-law and then my buddy Dave invades the studio (or firehouse basement)and we start talking about this summers comic book movies. all in good fun, all in good time.

Hootenany is a great song on a great album by the Replacements. I wasnt really sure what a "hoot" was until i was looking for something to write about with this episode. Its defined as followin:"An informal social gathering or concert featuring mostly folk songs, sometimes dancing, and where the audience often participates in the singing." Take away folk part, sub in alot of electric guitars, sub dancing with jumping around and the audiance is more like my buddies yelling at the neighbors to quit crying about the noise and I guess thats what goes on weekly on my driveway and garage. Yeah, A Hootenany. Tonight we are entertain by the likes of jay Reatard, The Tubes, Black and White, Mr. T, and a bunch more. Rock it.

Getting ready for summer with some trash rock that warms you up and get you ready for the beach. Heating it up with some Johnny Thunders and Compulsive Gamblers, a little Mojomatic helps, especially since its from their now album, but all ends well with Yin Yang and the Flower Pot Men by the Gaza Strippers with a lot of surprises within. So like always, bring a lawn chair over and get your swimming suit on because I'm getting out the garden hose to cool things down on the driveway.

Hello and welcome back. The Undertones once said "here's more songs about chocolate and girls" if you take that quote, you get the picture of this show. Allegedly Pete Townshend coined the phrase power pop in an interview from 1967, saying that "power pop is what we play." There seems to be alot of bands today that are bringing it all back but with a harder edge. Great shit from bands like The Marked Men, The Cute Lepers, and of course Jay Reatard. So take your ear plugs out and join us in our driveway for some jive jumping pop tunes but please close the gate, I dont feel like chasing the dogs down.

Here's a show that starts out with a real bluesy feel and jumps to those bands that we all like to here. Jawbone gives us a great cover of that beer drinking singalong "Chug a Lug. " Hot doggy foot stomp'm shit kickin ass whoopin rock n roll. Just like the boys down in Memphis meant it to be. Shit, I get tired of all this crap that is being thrown down our throats and people telling us its rock n roll. Somewhere, someone decided rock n roll is only good if it sells a trillion records and thats how you get into the rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Ask Madonna, and then watch her new video. Makes ya sick.......So....anyway.....todays show has alot of folks that know what rock n roll really is like some great tracks by The Pink Fits, Speedball Baby, Compulsive Gamblers, The Humpers and a few more surprises. Last week I caught some of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame ceremonies. Listening to the story of The Ventures and waiting patiently for Iggy Pop to appear kept me awake. Please slap me in the face and tell me I fell asleep. Madonna? Madonna in the Hall. Wow. The place now has come full circle is now a joke.
Well, so it goes onand we still have our little garages and houses of noise to keep us entertained. Tonight a variety of bands and people dropped by the garage, with such legendary folks like Bo Diddley, Sham 69 and even a quick appearence by Redd Kross so come on in and shut the door, it's raining cats and dogs outside.

Fifteen inches of snow puts a damper on your social life, kind-of keeps everyone in doors. We had a snow emergency and warnings of "you will be arrested if you are caught driving unless its an emergency." What a bunch of bull. So, being inside for the weekend you would think this show would get out a little bit earlier than it did, but laziness prevailed. Tonights show brings more punk, more garage and more blues to your doorstep. I dont know how this hole rock thing is going to turn out, you know, with the coming death of the big record companies, but the little guys seem to know whats going on. The Little Room is a rock n roll forum dedicated to The White Stripes and todays garage rock, punk, alt, and just about anything else bands. Through their love of music, a few of its members got together and formed a new record label called The LIttle Room Record Company. It was a return to garage rock for me, a return to knowing the shit I have always loved is alive and back . I also want to thank Radiohead (although I havent played them) for scarying the piss out of a few record exects. The Revolution continues.
