Hi,

Just wondering what everyone's favorite podcast site is? mine is www.vicasting.com

Mine of course is DigitalPodcast.com, but I get to change it if I like.

So tell me why you like the other site.

What makes a podcast site someone's favorite??

My favorite podcast "directory" site is a place called AmigoFish

http://www.amigofish.com/

This is a site that was developed with the podcast listener in mind, rather than podcasters. I say that because most other directories that allow you to rate podcasts (podcast alley comes to mind), do not do a good job of showcasing obscure podcasts to potential listeners.
Most ranking sites tend to showcase what is the most popular, and that just makes those popular podcasts even more popular since smaller, independent shows have a harder and harder time getting showcased.

... but Amigofish is different. It's a site that requires a user to register (a turn-off for some people, sure). The reason you have to register is because as you rate podcasts, the system "learns" what kinds of shows you like based on other users who have voted similarly.
The more people that use the system, and the more podcasts that you vote for, the better the system becomes. AmigoFish predicts what your vote will be for a certain podcast, and you can use that to try out a new show that you would not have heard about otherwise.

Give it a try. It's really hard to explain, and best to experience for yourself. The more I use it, the more I like it.

PS. My show is listed out there, so be sure to give us a listen and vote for our show.

Hello everybody!

My favorite website is Podcast Alley.
Podcast Alley is the best site to find all your Podcasts, podcast feeds, podcast definitions, podcast software and best podcast directory.

Podcast Alley is a site that catalogs podcast feeds and provides links to them. Thousands of feeds are available, from comedy shows to weekly suspense stories. There is even a podcast featuring a couple that talks about different wines every episode. Podcast Alley features the best podcasts on the front page regularly, along with a short article about the authors and their work and an interview with the creators.. In addition, the site keeps a list of the most popular feeds in a sideline, allowing visitors to quickly see what the community appreciates.
