I would like to announce a new podcast, Out of the Past: Investigating Film Noir. The first two episodes are now available on two classic 1940s films noir, Out of the Past and Double Indemnity.

My colleague Shannon Clute and I are putting together a podcast that investigates the impact of film noir on film history and film art. This is not just a film review show, but an in-depth analysis of a single film as it relates to the history of film noir. While most of our episodes will focus on films from the heyday of noir, 1941-1958, we also will be discussing more contemporary movies. For example, our 3rd podcast will be on this summer's hit, Batman Begins. The Batman Begins podcast will be posted this Friday, July 15th.

Since Shannon and I are both new to podcasting, we welcome any suggestions or feedback on how to make our show better.
