As a podcaster with my podcast listed on your site, i would like to see the ratings my show has been getting and if possible some information about them (ip address maybe ?) - but basically some information on the listenership of my podcasts...

How about an article on how one can get listed on iTunes. <g> It has been a month and a half since I gave them my credit card information and submitted my information, but perhaps they see me as competition to their music store, so I am still waiting.
Seriously (since I know that there is no actual answer to the problem above), you might consider listing locations of podsafe music. I don't know how many people here have music podcasts, but knowing of places where the RIAA does not have their claws buried is quite valuable. Funny, my regular source is Archive.org, which I never see mentioned (GarageBand.com is probably the most common). Perhaps this is because the music is live, but that fits the purpose of show exactly.

Great idea about sources of podsafe music. I added a category for podsafe music sources to the podcasting section. I added garageband.com and archive.com
One other place I'm trying to find out about is Amazon - they have a lots of free downloadable mp3s, but I don't know what the license restrictions are. Anybody else know if Amazon's free music can be used on podcasts?

Here's the link to the category in the directory for sources of podsafe music. If you know more sources please add them.

Thanks George.
I added those sites to the list. You can add a link any time. Just use the add a podcast link at the top of the page.

I am very, very new to podcasting. Not producing but consuming.
Problems I see
1) It is very time consuming to find good podcast with content that is interesting to me.
2) If a podcast starts and the presenter is not starting immediately, or wastes time messing around. Zap he's gone and I delist the podcast from my itunes database.
Almost all podcasters (exept pro broadcasters) I have downloaded have forgotten the new Nasa saying
THERE IS NO SECOND CHANCE

I can't agree more with you. This is why after a short introduction I get right to the music I offer. I feel that it is my job to get out of the way, as my listeners are interested in the artists, not me - the show is about them.
If you are looking for an eclectic mix of great music then I can recommend Eclectic Mix at http://EclecticMix.com. I offer a wide range of genres - the current show is classical music, this Saturday's show will be folk music from Denmark. I hope that you have a chance to check it out.
