Reason for Delay
Comments (3)Hey Everybody, we’re still alive over here. Let me first apologize for our delay. I know I know, its been 3 weeks. We decided since everyone has been traveling so much during the summer, we would do the show every 2 weeks instead of weekly. We were planning to do it this past weekend but I caught a really bad cold, needless to say we couldn’t record it and risk everyone else catching the bug so we decided to hold off to this weekend. We are planning to record episode 11 on Sunday and hopefully get it up by Monday. Once again we’re sorry for the delay. Thanks for sticking around waiting for us.
I have a big question for all of our listeners. We are considering removing the chapter recap section from our podcast and I was just curious how many people really like that part. Let me explain why we (I) want to remove that section. It is the least fun part of our podcast to do. It takes FOREVER to do, usually 3-4 hours just to get each recap recorded. It is also the least fun part of doing our podcast because it takes so long and because we live in Hawaii and it’s summer now, it gets hot in our apartments that we record it in. It also seems like most of our listeners are reading the chapters anyway so it seems like a waste of time. Anyways, if we didn’t have to do the recap, we might be able to do get these things out more regularly. We’ll do the episode this weekend without the recap and let us know what you think. We’re not dead!
Hey everybody! Sorry for the lack of podcasts for the past 2 weeks. It was the first week of summer vacation for Brad, Tyler, and Aldrine so they went on a little vacation. Tyler is visiting his family back home and will be with them for the rest of the summer so Aldrine and I will try to pick up the slack. We recorded episode 10 yesterday and I’ll be working on putting it together tonight. Episode 10 will be covering the 2 chapters we missed. Thanks for all the Emails keep em coming we love getting em.

Ichiraku Ramen – Naruto Manga Podcast episode 8
Good news everyone! episode 8 is up. Has been since Monday. Aldrine was visiting his parents last weekend, so the IR crew forged on without him. We’ve got some questions regarding the contest so let me elaborate here.
1st ever, Ichiraku Podcast Contest!!!
We are asking our listeners to help us design an album art for our podcast. Here are some of the rules:
1. The entry must have our Podcast name somewhere in the art: Ichiraku Ramen Naruto Podcast
2. Artwork must be 500×500 px.
3. You do not have to use Naruto images in the artwork, although you may.
4. No stealing other people’s fan artwork. ie. using fanart in your submission.You may Kishimoto’s art though.
5. Enter as many times as you want.
6. Those under the age of 13 need their parents approval to enter contest.

Naruto Wars! Game on!
In the last podcast, we received an email asking if we play any naruto online video games. Well the rest of the IR crew doesn’t but I jump on Naruto Wars every now and again. Naruto Wars is a user created map for the Frozen Throne expansion of the RTS game Warcraft 3. The premise of the game is you join the game as either a shinobi of Konoha or Sound Village and your mission is to destroy the other village. Throughout the game you control one hero character which will be one of the ninjas from Naruto. Now this is a fan created map so not all of the characters have models for them, and many are still using warcraft 3 models so you have to use your imagination a little, but, many of the popular characters are fully converted. The list of those fully converted characters include: Naruto, Sasuke, Neji, Rock Lee, Kakahi, Yondaime, Haku, Gaara, Kiba, Hinata, Sakon, Kidomaru… and there are probably some that I have forgotten.
Each of these hero characters have the moves that they had in the manga or anime, so Naruto can use Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, and Rasengan, Neji can use Kaiten, Tenketsu hits, Rokujuu Yonshou, and Byakugan etc etc. As you gain experience points, your character will gain levels and you will be able to level up each skill. You can also buy items to help you defeat your opponent.
One of my favorite parts of Naruto Wars is that there are hidden characters that you may play as if you know the codes. Some of these secret characters include: Anbu Kakashi, Fallen Sasuke (sasuke trained by Orochimaru), 3 years Kakashi (KK with Mangekyou sharingan), Kyuubi Naruto, the Akatsuki leader, even Ichigo from BLEACH!
I can talk about it forever but a few videos of the game would probably do more justice,
I think you can buy the warcraft 3 battlechest which includes both Warcraft 3:Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne expansion for about $35 and since its kind of old, you don’t need the best of the best computer to play it. Battle.net is a free service. If anyone wants to play with me, email and we’ll set up a game!

Ichiraku Ramen – Naruto Manga Podcast episode 7
Hey guys and girls, well after some confusion and me uploading the wrong file (episode 6 again), episode 7 is finally up. (Itunes still didnt update it but hopefully be the end of the day it will if you can’t wait please check out podcast alley.) Sorry for the delay, and I should also note, that this is probably the worst episode we will ever do. Let me break it down for you all. 1st off, Kakashi’s theme decided not to work for me so I had to put a different intro music. 2nd, I accidentally overwrote a whole segment of Tyler talking in the middle of the podcast (see if you can find out whats missing). 3rd, Brad is talking into the wrong end of the microphone at the closing. Wow. We are professionals! NOT! Next week will be better and yes hint hint, there will be prizes offered for a contest next week(wow not much of a hint, I just told you) so please put up with this week’s pathetic offering and stay tuned next week for a chance to win some cool Naruto Swag!!!

Episode 7 will be delayed…again
Sorry guys. I’m still not done with Episode 7. I’ll try to have it up by tomorrow. My weekend schedule has been destroyed recently because my sister and one of my parents are visiting every weekend because of her soccer tournaments. 😡

Hey guys and girls, episode 6 of our Ichiraku Ramen Naruto Podcast is now up on iTunes for your listening pleasure. Sorry for the delay, although it may not seem like it since we are such Naruto Dorks, we do have lives, and my sister and Dad was on the island for a soccer tournament so I didn’t have anytime to edit the latest episode. Thanks to everyone who sent in emails and voicemails! There are a lot of them coming in now so we apologize we can’t get to all of them every week. Don’t let that stop you from sending em in though because we want to try to get to all of them. Also, we’ve reached 150 subscribers! 159 actually, So… I went ahead and registered ichirakuramen.com . Hopefully we can get a website to go with that domain soon. We’ll keep you all updated with that next week. Also we’re planning a contest with some cool prizes to win so stay tuned for that as well!
