The Stars and Your Health - Stephanie Marango, MD 7/15/16 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 841

Everyday millions of people start their day by reading their horoscopes in daily newspapers or online. To many, astrology is just a bit of fun. Dr. Stephanie Marango, MD, co-author of Your body and the Stars, astrology is a tool used to help people stay healthy! She visits with Late Night Health to share this ancient healing technique.Modern astrology is believed to have been developed in ancient Egypt and is based on the Zodiac. The Babylonians and other groups implemented this "Circle of Animals" to help people understand their daily lives. Now astrology, according to the authors, can help people with their wellbeing. When a body region is in need of attention, a zodiac sign’s susceptibilities also surface, but you don’t have to wait until a part of your body feels out of whack to read about it. You can read whatever part of the book resonates with you the most and use it as a custom-tailored body scan and wellness reference time and time again.Astrology is a practical and healing magic that allows you to tap into an ancient belief that has resonated with many in a universe that is constantly evolving. As in an astrological forecast, your birth-sign is only part of your medical astrology. Knowing other parts of your forecast is important to be accurate in your general and health reading. Other aspects of an astrology reading include your rising sign, the time you were born and the location of your birth. With this information computers online can provide you with an accurate chart. Professional astrologers can then read your chart providing information about various characteristics of your life including your health. While traditional healthcare professionals may frown on astrology as a method of staying healthy, the technique is catching on. For thousands of years astrologists have told clients about their love lives, professional lives and even their health. Today, people can learn about their health from the stars coupled with modern medical science helps people stay healthy. Looking at your stars in this way you can understand what areas of your body may need extra protection. With todays healthcare system in a state of flux, with more physicians using alternative methods to help patients, looking at the starts and your body may be just what the doctor ordered for you.

Key to Physical Health is Mental Health (Part 1) - Nick Newmont 7/15/16 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 714

Nick Newmont joins Late Night Health to discuss the various modalities people can use to achieve a healthy state of mind by adjusting core beliefs that individuals take on. Most of these detrimental beliefs are conditioned innocently by parental upbringing, which are lived out as comfort levels and personal truths. With the use of hypnotherapy Nick has helped thousands of clients rewrite their subconscious script and attain success, relationships, business and overall improved happiness. The physical body operates more efficiently when it is free of stress and in a state of relaxation. Breathing is the #1 way the body relaxes itself and relaxation is the #1 way the body heals itself. When you feel tired and very sleepy in the middle of the workday, your body recognizes the immune system is breaking down and trying to get you to take a nap so it can regenerate. Your body knows when it needs to eat, sleep, and exercise. Our bodies send us signals that too often we choose to ignore. When we get hunger pangs and growling stomach during the day at a non-meal time, we misinterpret that we need food. Quite often the body is trying to burn off energy. The quick test is to go take a brisk, short walk. More often than not the hunger pangs disappear and we discover that we were not hungry at all. The burn off from walking helps burn off stress. If you work in a stressful environment, remember to breathe. At least once an hour, push back from your desk and take a few long, slow, deep breaths. Trust me, it works wonders.Breathing is the key to relaxation and primary method of inducing hypnosis. Anxiety and stress can be reduced, alleviated and even eliminated with hypnotherapy. Most addictive behavior is brought on by some form of anxiety that has not been dealt with in the proper manner. The addictive behavior only masks the symptoms creating temporary relief or a “medicated state of denial.”Nick’s motto is “I give people their life back”.

Kids Don't Come With An Instruction Book (Part 1) - Debbie Pokornik 7/8/16 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 714

Most first time parents are worried about being a parent. Will I screw up my kid? Will my kid hate me when they grow up? What kind of parent should I be? The list goes on and on. When we were pregnant for the first time, I was hoping there would instructions like there was for assembling the crib. Of course I had to have help in putting the crib together. While there are hundreds of books available on parenting, none that I've seen really hits the mark. Which causes a sense of dread regarding the new borne. Really, will I screw this kid up?Parenting is one of the most stressful jobs you'll ever take on in life. Not only are you constantly on duty, but you also are dealing with another human being who has a mind and a journey of their own. Unfortunately, just because you are their parent doesn't mean they will do what you ask them to do, share your opinion on things, or always be polite. Having a variety of tools, tuning into your natural guidance system and being self-aware are all things that can help you navigate this difficult, yet wonderful, adventure.Self-care is an important part of being a healthy, happy parent. Knowing what you need to recharge your batteries, learning skills to help you deal with difficult situations and putting it all into practice will help you decrease stress and be at your best. When you focus on bringing out the best in yourself you automatically start to bring out the best in others. The relationship you build with your child is going to influence whether or not they want to be part of your life when they are old enough to choose. This doesn't mean you have to become their best friend – you are still the parent after all – but it can help to guide you when you ask the question, "What's really important here." Knowing what kinds of things you do that give to the relationship and what you might be doing that is taking away can make a big difference when your child reaches the teenage years and your parent power has fizzled away.Debbie Pokornik, Chief Empowerment Officer at Powerful Moms and author of several books including Vibrant, Powerful Moms (and dads too) shares her insights on how to raise kids almost stress frees when she visits Late Night Health.

The Power of Unconditional Love - Moments with Robert 7/8/16 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 351

Ever watch a kid get a new puppy? They hug, romp and hug some more. The kid laughs and laughs. And the puppy is the center of the universe. Then, by accident, the kid kicks the puppy! It's an accident, not done on purpose. The kid feels just awful. But what about how the puppy feels? Does it mope and go off in the corner? Nope! The puppy wants to get back to the hugging and playing. The kick doesn't stop the love. We've all heard about dog owners that mistreat their animals. Yet the dog remains loving and loyal. Wouldn't it be great if we could all experience that all encompassing love in our lives. That unconditional is something we all want and need to give and to receive. (7/8/16)

Remember hanging out with friends in elementary school and being dared to do something? Usually this is something very stupid, yet can cause pain to you 20 years later. This is something we can all understand. But what if your great great-great-grandfather did something really stupid and it has an affect on your life today? Wait just a minute. Something that happened to a family member years ago can cause problems in my life today? Healing situations that happened to ancestor’s generations ago is not new. Multi-generational healing is becoming well known in alternative health practices. One of the techniques to heal the past is known as Constellation Healing.Gary Stuart is a communication expert, author and speaker facilitates Constellations (for over 17 years) as his primary tool for transformation in any area of anyone’s personal or business life. He returns to Late Night Health to further explain how the past experiences of family members can wreak havoc in your life. One of the most common situations is disease. When a disease such as cancer runs in a family, it can often be traced back to an experience happening generations ago. Breaking this experience or understanding it, helps to reduce the chance for cancer to occur in this and future generations.Subconscious bonds and deep loyalty exists within each family system. Family Constellation work uses this systemic field to reveal unresolved traumas in the lives of previous family members whose fates can persist and become entangled in subsequent and current generations. Constellations reveal and release hidden entanglements that are obstacles to health, career and relationships. How and why does it Work? Acknowledging these conditions can allow a resolution to arise that honors everyone and restores the flow of love and acceptance. This enables healing within the family system. Working Participants set an intentional goal to identify and resolve any problem or issue. It can also be applied to any life challenge or issue.air date: 7/1/16

The Window To Your Body - MJ Holtz 7/1/16 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 961

MJ Holt joins Mark Alyn to talk about Medical Thermal Imaging - The Window To Your Body.In recent years studies show that radiation from x-rays and other medical devices can be harmful. Mammogram radiation, checking for breast cancer, is one example. The reports and studies indicate the toxic affects of this technology can actually cause breast cancer.Ask most women and they will tell you that, the test is often uncomfortable or even painful. The breast is compressed, which may lead to the spread of cancer if cancer is evident.Let's be clear that women should be checked for breast cancer. The normal mammogram is one thousand times more powerful than a regular chest x-ray. One thousand times more radiation! So if the screening is harmful, what should women do? The answer is Medical Thermal Imaging.Today, with smog, pollutants, poor quality food and drinking water, having a look inside the body is something that needs to be done. MJ Holtz, owner of Medical Thermal Imaging of Southern California has the answer.MJ speaks talks with us about how this technology works. Creating a map of the body that resembles a Doppler weather map, healthcare professionals can pinpoint a variety of disease states often earlier than traditional medical scanning. MTI can find diseases such as breast cancer earlier than mammograms, seeing smaller growths, allowing for treatment sooner. The wonderful thing about MTI is that there is NO radiation. The system uses a special camera that captures infrared images of the body. This is a non-contact preventative diagnostic system that has been featured in more than eight thousand journals. The research supports the use of MTI as an affective tool.Men should also consider MTI as a preventative measure for prostate cancer.air date: 7/1/16

 Erectile Dysfunction Help (Part 1) - Leo Doumanian, MD 7/1/16 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 961

Leo R. Doumanian, MD joins Mark Alyn to talk with us about erectile dysfunction. What is ED?Erectile dysfunction (ED) is defined as the persistent inability to achieve or maintain a penile erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance. ED can limit your intimacy, affect your self-esteem, and impact your most important relationships. Beyond the physical manifestations, ED causes emotional damage and there is a strong link found between ED and depression. How common is ED?ED is a surprisingly common condition experienced by more than 39 million men in the United States. What causes ED?While there are real physical and psychological reasons for ED, there’s no single cause. The chart below outlines the most common causes of ED.How is ED diagnosed? You may have to start the conversation with your doctor to get an answer to the question, “Do I have ED?” A personal history and physical exam set the groundwork for most conditions. Lab tests and other tests may identify a source such as diabetes, coronary artery disease or other conditions that affect the nerves and blood flow to the penis. If I have ED symptoms, could I have heart disease?Hardening of the arteries caused by plaque buildup – atherosclerosis – limits blood flow to various parts of the body. The arteries supplying blood to the penis are much smaller than the ones supplying blood to the heart. As a result, heart disease may first show itself as difficulty achieving an erection. Why does diabetes cause ED symptoms?Diabetes damages the blood vessels and nerves that supply the penis with blood to form an erection. The constant change in blood sugar levels can also cause nerve damage, which can lead to loss of sensation in the feet and hands, and can affect having sex. What are some of the side effects from prostate cancer treatment? The two most feared side effects of a radical prostatectomy are loss of erections and bladder leakage. These side effects can occur, but there are successful treatment options available. Also, after total removal of the prostate, there is no ejaculation, although there is the sensation of climax and orgasm. When can a man resume sexual activity after prostate cancer treatment? If the cancer is detected early and patients are treated by an experienced surgeon using nerve-sparing techniques, then sexual activity may return to normal after surgery. This can take three to six months with continued improvement for two or three years. If sexual activity does not return on its own, there are many different ways to support an active sex life (medications, pumps, injections and penile implants). How is ED treated?ED treatment is available to all men with ED. Oral medications are a common first step, but they don’t work for everyone. If men don’t respond to oral medications, they may try other options such as pump devices, injections and penile implants.air date: 7/1/16

 Fetal Stem Cells (Part 1) - William Rader 6/17/16 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 840

Hematopoietic and Neuronal Cells vs Mesenchymal Cells Many of the companies who promote Stem Cell treatments use Adipose derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells. What this means is that your fat is extracted (in a procedure like liposuction) and then using a method of spinning this material, it separates into its various components and the Stem cells that are in the fat tissue are used. This Mesenchymal Cell has several properties, such as the ability to stimulate the body’s own healing resources; however, it also has limitations such as only being able to change into fat, bone or cartilage- and is classified as multipotent. These cells are also not able to enter into the body’s tissue to do repair and regeneration as they do not possess the proper ligands (coordination entities) to bind to the affected tissue. In contrast, cells that are fetal derived are pluripotent, which means they can become 220 different cell types the body needs for repair and restoration. The Hematopoietic cells can enter into the tissues and do repair and regeneration as well as providing healthy DNA information to halt and reverse the effects of various diseases. The neuronal cells (the fetus is the only source of pure, pristine Neuronal cells) do the same in the brain and nervous system. All of this is possible without matching and with no immunosuppressive drugs required.Visiting on Late Night Health is William Rader, a former doctor who has spent twenty years researching stem cell therapies. He offers treatment for patients with chronic disease including Parkinson's, some cancers, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Cystic Fibrosis and others. Rader lost his California license two years ago and shares the reason for this on the show. With over three thousand patients, Rader notes there are no known side effects from the treatment. Success at reducing symptoms is an amazing 90 plus percent.
