Today in Walt Disney World, the Disney Skyliner gondola cars are coming full force on the Pop Century line it appears, as multiple Mickey Views viewers have been sending in photos and reports where there are now four gondola cars unwrapped that can be spotted, revealing more designs. There’s a yellow car, a green car, and orange like the first gondola car that was uncovered on the line. Very interesting stuff there, The other news in Walt Disney World today is the Pandora attractions were evacuated yesterday morning after the fire alarm was tripped, this is one of the downsides Disney has learned with putting 2 attractions, the Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey in a single building, when one fails they both have to go down because technically speaking it’s one building so it’s one fire system, but no worries everything is back open now. That’s today’s latest news in the World of Disney. Be sure to check out our video about the Lion King overlay coming to Rafiki’s Planet Watch we posted yesterday! Thank you so much for all the reviews, feedback, and support, it wouldn’t be possible without you. From the Mickey Views Magic Studio, I’m Brayden Holness. Have a Magical Day!

Today in Walt Disney World, Disney has announced a new film is coming to Epcot at the Land pavilion in the currently empty theater previously home to the Circle of Life film. The new film that will be played in the theater is called Awesome Planet, which Disney describes as an on-screen exploration of the realm we call home, showcases the spectacular beauty, diversity and dynamic story of our earth with all the grandeur guests have come to expect. So it looks like we are getting a true nature film at the pavilion, very cool stuff there! When the show will arrive we aren’t sure yet, but based on the promotional image Disney published it looks like some parts of the show have been filmed. Very exciting stuff there! That’s today’s latest news in the World of Disney. Be sure to check out our video about the Lion King overlay coming to Rafiki’s Planet Watch we posted yesterday!  Walk Around the World Bricks to be REMOVED! 03/19/19 – Mickey Views Daily News | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:57

We talk the latest Disney news with the Walk Around the World bricks about be removed by the Magic Kingdom and a special way Disney is commemorating these 90’s brick pavers in Walt Disney World! This is your Mickey Views Daily News for 03/19/19! Today in Walt Disney World was an interesting day of news because Disney announced that the Walk Around the World pathway bricks will be removed from the resort. If you’ve ever been walking to the Magic Kingdom and looked down you have probably seen the hexagon paver bricks, each personalized with a different name and special message for the people who purchased them back in the 90’s. One of the places I always notice them is by the Transportation and Ticket center if you go from there to the Polynesian there are a ton of those personalized bricks along the way. The contract guests had with those bricks said they could be removed in 2011, and here we are in 2019 with the bricks still going strong! Now Disney has announced they will be removed but because of how the bricks interlock, they can’t give each individual brick back to their owners, instead they’ve set up a special brick kiosk in Disney Springs at the Marketplace Co-Op, where even if you never owned one of these famous bricks, you can get your own brick made in a 6 inch, 8 inch, or ornament design, customize it with any name or special message you want and they look just like the original bricks in terms of the design and everything. A pretty cool piece of history you can pick up today! I guess the original brick pathways are going to go back to regular paved pathways? We’ll see what happens there. That’s today’s latest news in the World of Disney. Be sure to check out The Magic Weekly up on the Mickey Views YouTube channel, more videos on the way! Today in Walt Disney World there wasn’t any big news from the weekend, but heading into this week cast members have gotten the opportunity to sign a support column for the Tron coaster in the Magic Kingdom, with vertical construction on the Tron coaster beginning as we speak, with foundations for the vertical columns in full affect next to Space Mountain. Also in Walt Disney World this week, vehicle ride testing is getting ready to get underway over at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. I plan on going a little bit more into that on a video this week with some info from out inside sources, 2020 seems like a serious possibility for Ratatouille, maybe even Spring 2020, things seem to be coming along very well there! That’s today’s latest news in the World of Disney. Today in Walt Disney World, over in Disney Springs after years of work finally an opening date has been announced for Jaleo, the tapas restaurant coming to the West Side area of the shopping village, which will be officially opening March 17th, 2019. Just two days from now on Sunday! Pretty incredible stuff there. It’s a bit beyond my knowledge as to why these restaurants announce their official openings so close to the openings themselves, this is a trend we’ve seen with other Disney Springs venue openings. I think perhaps it’s to keep from giving competition time to plan events or special deals the day they want to open so nobody steals their thunder, remember when Chicken Guy just randomly opened out of the blue with nobody even having heard of it before? Wild stuff! That’s today’s latest news in the World of Disney. Today in Walt Disney World, Disney has announced there are new parking lot names coming to Hollywood Studios as Disney reimagines the park with Galaxy’s Edge on the way opening August 29th. Moving away from the Stage, Television, Film and Music names for each Parking Lot section, the new names will be Disney characters, with the lots named Mickey, Minnie, Woody, Jessie, Buzz, Olaf and BB-8. I’d say a good indication of characters you can see in the parks moving forward between Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Toy Story Land, the Frozen Sing Along, and Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. That’s today’s latest news in the World of Disney. The last couple of days I’ve said there’d be a new video up on the Mickey Views youtube channel and there hasn’t been I apologize about that we’ve got a full length Mickey Views News episode coming this afternoon!  WDW Ticket Price INCREASES! 03/13/19 – Mickey Views Daily News | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:24

We talk the latest Disney news with the annual ticket price increases coming to Walt Disney World for 2019! This is your Mickey Views Daily News for 03/13/19! Amazon Echo: http://bit.ly/MVDailyNews Apple Podcasts: http://apple.co/2Gsp15v Google Play: https://play.google.com/music/listen#/ps/Iah3q5cnfya73uyfxw6jmzo2qci Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/71ZCNiGidEDSMskJlibxSh?si=aCf7U-ZWT66S7Vecz-waMQ Transcript: Good day everyone my name and Brayden and this is your Mickey Views Daily News for March 13th, 2019. Today in Walt Disney World, it’s ticket price increase day! That time of year where we see the tickets go up in price as Disney works to increase revenues in the Parks Resorts and Experiences division on the quarterly balance sheets. This year is a little different though since last October Disney began doing tiered ticket pricing throughout the year, so the less crowded times are cheaper and the more in-demand times are more expensive, helping spreading out the crowds throughout the year. So what this means is, with this year’s price hike it’s mainly affecting the higher crowd times, for example, a ticket between Christmas and New Years now costs $159 dollars a day, but a single day ticket during low crowd times did not move at all and still costs $109. And more good news, this time around annual pass prices did not see any increase at all, but ticket packages did with WDWMagic reporting a 4 day base park ticket package in the summer has gone up 9 dollars a day, as has water park admission. So with this ticket increase complete, it looks like the annual pass just increased in value as the ticket packages a lot of guests go with just got $9 per day per guest more expensive, while annual passes did not move at all. So if you plan to the world twice or more in the next year, an annual pass might be the way to go, and if not, go during that value season time frame where you can get those cheap tickets! That’s today’s latest news in the World of Disney. Yesterday I said there would be a video and it isn’t up yet, it will be today so be sure to check the Mickey Views YouTube channel later today we have a lot of great content on the way. Today in Walt Disney World there wasn’t any big news in particular, just more progress on a lot of current projects like clearing the old River Country site for the new Disney-nature inspired resort we talked about yesterday, as well as so many other projects going on on-site. Over in Epcot Disney is getting ready start work on transforming the Wonders of Life into the Play pavilion, it’ll be interesting to see how that develops, and next door at the Space Pavilion between Missions Space and Test Track, construction work on the space windows effect projection screen is continuing, while the main area where you’ll be eating on the spaceship is currently just a steel structure, the backstage food facility area is fully enclosed at this point with cinder block. We’ll keep you up to date on everything happening there. And one last interesting thing in Walt Disney World today, soon Disney will be offering a new program at the resort pools called Mermaid School at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts where kids can learn to swim like a mermaid with a special swimmable tail in a $50 per-person class bookings begin later this month.  River Country DEMOLITION BEGINS! 03/11/19 – Mickey Views Daily News | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:11

Today in Walt Disney World there’s lot of River Country talk happening, as over the weekend demolition began on the historic site of the long-abandoned first water park in Walt Disney World, located near Fort Wilderness Campgrounds, Mickey’s Backyard Barbecue, and the Wilderness Lodge. Back in 2016 the pools were filled in as the pools filled with static swampy warm water were a concern for generating mosquitoes, now the pools, the remaining structures, and theming elements are being removed as Disney prepares the site for the new Disney nature-inspired resort coming to Walt Disney World 2022, it will have DVC villas but also 1,700 traditional guest rooms, making this a pretty significant new resort development. With Disney announcing a new play pavilion for the long-cast aside Wonders of Life pavilion and now a hotel going on the site of River Country I have to say it’s great to see Disney giving some long-since forgotten attractions life in new forms. The big spot still abandoned is across the water from River Country at Discovery Island in the middle of Bay Lake, which has sat there untouched since it’s zoological exhibits closed in 1999, replaced by the Animal Kingdom. Maybe we’ll get some new bungalows or something of the sort out there someday soon! That’s today’s latest news in the World of Disney. Be sure to check out our new episode of The Magic Weekly, the Magic Weekly has returned I uploaded the first new episode back this weekend.  Galaxy’s Edge OPENING DATES Spark MANY Questions! 03/08/19 – Mickey Views Daily News | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 4:45

We talk the latest Disney news with opening dates announced for Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland and Walt Disney World sparking many questions about reservations, ride availability, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and more! This is your Mickey Views Daily News for 03/08/19! Amazon Echo: http://bit.ly/MVDailyNews Apple Podcasts: http://apple.co/2Gsp15v Google Play: https://play.google.com/music/listen#/ps/Iah3q5cnfya73uyfxw6jmzo2qci Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/71ZCNiGidEDSMskJlibxSh?si=aCf7U-ZWT66S7Vecz-waMQ Transcript: Good day everyone my name and Brayden and this is your Mickey Views Daily News for March 8th, 2019. Today in Walt Disney World all the buzz is focused on the Galaxy’s Edge related announcements we received yesterday at the 2019 Walt Disney Company Shareholders meeting where Disney announced Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge will be opening May 31st in Disneyland and August 29th in Walt Disney World. As this has started to set in there has been a bit of a noticeable shift online as some realizations have been made of exactly what this miraculous move-up in time table for the opening dates here really means. The construction didn’t speed up suddenly or everything is finishing earlier than expected, Disney is simply taking the biggest part of the land, what Bob Iger said is the most ambitious ride Disney has ever attempted, Star Wars Rise of the Resistance, and not opening it with the rest of the land. And by removing Rise of the Resistance from the Galaxy’s Edge offerings for opening day they were able to move up the dates, but this will have major consequences, in Disneyland especially. Since the attraction won’t be open, it won’t be eating up any crowds, meaning upwards of 2,000 less guests will be able to fit in the land at any given time, and to make things even more complicated, you can’t even go to Galaxy’s Edge the first month in Disneyland without securing a reservation, but Disney has yet to provide any details on this reservation process, and some guests who have called representatives have gotten back responses suggesting they book a 3-5 day stay at an on-property hotel to quote “increase chances” of getting a reservation, which really has made me realize this opening for Disneyland is not actually an opening, it’s the first day of previews, but Disney’s calling it an opening. You won’t be able to get in without a special reservation, it won’t be open to the public May 31st, and it looks as though Disney is even prioritizing people who spend additional money on hotel rooms over their Disneyland annual passholders, although it should be noted Disney hasn’t released official details on the reservations so the only info so far is hearsay from guests who have called about the matter. And then in Walt Disney World there’s now major questions around where the Mickey’s Runaway Railway opening date is, as this is usually the time Disney does a press event previewing their summer offerings. Lot’s happening and we’ll keep you up to date on all of it, as I’m sure we’ll see things continue to develop here quite quickly. That’s today’s latest news in the World of Disney. Be sure to check out our latest video on the newly announced Galaxy’s Edge details and the first Skyliner Gondola unwrapped on the line in Walt Disney World over on the Mickey Views youtube channel. Today in Walt Disney World the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is now underway, with the festival beginning yesterday in Epcot to some huge attendance, a lot of people there to take a look at the latest topiaries and food offerings exclusive for this Spring festival. Among the new offerings this year include new Passholder magnets and special Passholder cookies, an Orange Bird themed sipper to drink out of walking around the festival, new merchandise for 2019 sporting figment which has become a big focal point for the festivals graphically ever since the inaugural Festival of the Arts a few years ago. Lots of fun there. New topiaries this year include Bo Peep and her sheep just in time to advertise Toy Story 4 in the parks, coming to theater later this year. Over in France Mrs Piggy and Kermit have debuted, my personal favorite new topiaries. And Disney is plugging a special hashtag Flower and Garden Festival, hashtag Fresh Epcot if you want to stay up to date on the latest festival happenings. Interestingly along with this festival we’re already noticing a greater usage of the original Epcot Center logo, which appears to be about to make a resurgence as the logo of the park as part of the Epcot entrance overhaul we talked about here yesterday, looking to have a timeframe of completing the Leave a Legacy moving portion within the next year as well as bringing in the iconic original Epcot Center fountain. That’s today’s latest news in the World of Disney, thank you so much for listening. From the Mickey Views Magic Studio, I’m Brayden Holness. Have a Magical Day!

First up in the news in Walt Disney World today over in Disney Springs walls are down at Jaleo, the new tapas restaurant coming to the West Side, one of the more anticipated new offerings coming to the shopping district as this restaurant has been under construction for a quite a while and people are excited to see how it turns out. After a much prolonged construction time period it appears the dining venue is finally complete, and we should be seeing some first looks inside as well as previews of the food very shortly. The other news in Walt Disney World today is that Disney has officially filed permits for Project G, which is rumored to encompass the Epcot entrance overhaul we got concept for from Disney last week. This permit has no listed completion date for the work, which actually does mean something significant, it means the permitted work will be complete within 1 year, meaning by the end of this year or early next, this reimagined Epcot entrance should be in the full effect, which would be incredible. So everything you saw there with the leave a legacy monoliths going by the wayside, the return of the iconic Epcot fountain in front of Spaceship Earth, all that will be coming to fruition in the very near future if this permit is any indication. That’s today’s latest news in the World of Disney, thank you so much for listening. From the Mickey Views Magic Studio, I’m Brayden Holness. Have a Magical Day!
