KATY PERRY: "Daisies" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1066

Where are you with your dreams? Are you still pursuing them? Are you living them? Have they been put on a shelf or have some been taken from you? Katy Perry is a woman with dreams and I am so thrilled for her that one of her BIG dreams is coming true - the dream of motherhood. Katy broke the news to her fans through - what else - music! With her single, "Never Worn White" and she's now released another chart-topper, "Daisies." Of "Daisies" she tells me, it's about the noise... All the racket that can occur when you 're working toward a dream when others, even well-meaning family and friends, want to weigh in, and how important it is to create your own path in life. She also says it speaks to the times we're living in now. The "pause" button has been pressed and we're all anxious for "play" to resume, and when that happens, all of us need to take our dreams off the shelf and start living them! Singer, songwriter, activist, and scholar, Jewel, has spent much of her adult life researching and enacting effective ways to deal with anxiety and depression, and then share her work with the world. She'll tell you (and I'll agree with her) that as obsessed as we all are with "hacks" they simply don't exist for getting through grief and emotional healing. What does work?  JEWEL: "No More Tears" Part 1 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 993

Show of hands for all of you who love singer/songwriter Jewel... Mine's up in the air! Since her break-out hit, "Hands" in the fall of 1998, this sweet and sparkly Jewel is much beloved, but I'm willing to guess that many of you are just as clueless as I was as to the absolute powerhouse of intellect this woman is! Raised in circumstances of dire need, without the security most of us have always taken for granted, Jewel has always been a crafty survivor, but she has grown into so much more. Her philanthropy stretches across continents and is also strongly felt on our shores. She started by offering to others, who were looking for ways to bolster their mental health, the coping practices she developed for herself during a brief time of homelessness. From there, she's developed several more projects, each targeted at helping vulnerable populations. Her latest work is a film, "Lost In America" about our homeless youth, and of course, her own music provides the soundtrack. The single, "No More Tears" is out now, and we're going to talk about that and so much more on this episode of Love Someone with Delilah. It's Part 1 of 2 and I know you're going to want to join me next time to hear the rest! ~ Delilah Learn more about your ad-choices at https://news.iheart.com/podcast-advertisers

ELIZABETH ST.HILAIRE: Art For The Heart | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2368

This Valentine's Day podcast episode is all about The Heart. Specifically, about the Healing Heart... and even more specifically, how art can be a soothing balm for an aching heart. My guest, Elizabeth St. Hilaire, is a successful artist, teacher, author and innovator. I stumbled onto her work when I was grieving deeply, and found submerging myself into the art techniques she developed (and went on to share with the world,) had an immensely therapeutic and transformative effect. Elizabeth's own heart is made of gold, and she and I have become good friends. I'm so happy that she agreed to join me on LOVE SOMEONE to encourage anyone and everyone to give art and creativity another try. If you've experienced a loss and/or find yourself in place of vulnerability, or if you're the type to proclaim that you don't have any talent or aren't creative... this episode is for you. John Churchill is the chairman of the board, and he met with me at the Museum of Radio Broadcasting to tell me all about this amazing group of glad tidings.  DELILAH: A Season of Gratitude! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1604

On today's episode of LOVE SOMEONE with Delilah, I'm celebrating this season of gratitude with you! The most common question I'm asked, is how I've continued to do what I do for all the years I've been doing it? (Radio that is!) And the answer is this - because of the amazing stories my listeners share with me, and the thread of gratitude that seems to run through them all. Life is a stormy adventure to be sure, but those that not only survive, but thrive, have one thing in common - an attitude of gratitude. And these are the folks that inspire me day after day, to get up, to do my radio program, to care for my family, and to LIVE! Live to the fullest, grateful for all I've ever experienced, all the experiences yet to come, and holding nothing back... Have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving my friends, I am so very grateful for all of you. ~ Delilah Learn more about your ad-choices at https://news.iheart.com/podcast-advertisers

WAYNE CHIMENTI: Program Director, "Shelter From The Storm" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2470

In the studio with me today is Wayne Chimenti, a retired tall boat captain, and an active program director and mentor to youth involved in The Community Boat Project of Port Hadlock, a maritime community in Washington State. Wayne is accompanied by a few of his interns working on the Shelter From The Storm, program, a subset of the larger organization that is busy building tiny homes. I found Wayne and his group of merry builders when trolling through on-line classified ads late one evening. I ran across a tiny home for sale that caught my fancy. When I made further inquiries, not only did I learn about the item that had been posted, I found about an incredible group of people working to better the lives of students through some amazing experiential learning. I had to have these folks share their work and their mission with you on LOVE SOMEONE with Delilah. Get ready to be inspired! ~ Delilah Learn more about your ad-choices at https://news.iheart.com/podcast-advertisers

KRISTIN CHENOWETH: "For the Girls" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1022

With me today on LOVE SOMEONE with Delilah, is Emmy and Tony Award winner singer, actor, educator, and downright beauty, inside and out, Ms. Kristin Chenoweth. I became a fan of Kristin's after watching her perform on Broadway in Wicked. In fact, I saw her in that role at least three times! Kristin has a new album out, "For the Girls," a celebration of music’s most passionate women from one of Broadway’s most vibrant stars. It includes songs such as “The Way We Were,” (Streisand) “When I Fall in Love” (Garland) and - my favorite - "Desperado" (Ronstadt). If you're lucky, you can catch Kristin this November at one of only 8 performances on Broadway as she premiers the songs from this new hit album. In addition to her singing and acting career, Kristin's heart is in coaching and supporting the arts through the Kristin Chenoweth Arts and Education Foundation. This started after the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center, in her home town of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, named a theater after her. Kristin felt a responsibility to uphold the honor they had placed in her and started teaching a yearly master class to a few high school and college students. That evolved into the Kristin Chenoweth Broadway Bootcamp, supporting 50 students from all over the nation. She's now in the process of building a creative arts center that will cater to the underserved youth of Oklahoma providing training in Crafts, Drawing, Design, and Writing - as well as serving dinner to it's enrollees! Kristin is doing her part, to make the world a better place one heart at a time and I am so happy that we were given this time to get to know her better! ~ Delilah Learn more about your ad-choices at https://news.iheart.com/podcast-advertisers

MAX LUCADO: Author - "How Happiness Happens" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2215

Based on the teachings of Jesus and backed by modern research, Max tells us and shows us that Happiness happens when we give it away! Stop waiting for others to make you happy. Be the family member who offers to wash the dishes after dinner. Be the colleague who serves the coffee at the next staff meeting. Volunteer at a soup kitchen...There are innumerable ways to be a giver! If you haven't been able to check the Happiness Box lately, join us on this episode! ~ Delilah Learn more about your ad-choices at https://news.iheart.com/podcast-advertisers
