1 World-Class Secret to Build Confidence Over the Long Haul | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:03:32

I saw Serena Williams play an exhibition match in Los Angeles when she was only 11 or 12 years old. Looking back, I wonder if she realized that she would be the named best player in the open era and have earned more than 22 Grand Slam titles! Not to mention all of her other unimaginably successful endorsements and businesses. Maybe not down to those exact details, but she did work every day believing her day would come, and believing it was possible. It’s that unwavering belief in ourselves that allows us to dream big and persevere. When it comes to our long-term objectives it’s important that we “proceed as if success is inevitable” (my favorite quote, BTW), hold on to our dream, and then relinquish control of the outcome. You, like Serena Williams early in her career, have little to no control of the scale of your future success. There are many unknowns: What will the competition be like? What setbacks will you have? What obstacles will get in your way? Will you be good enough? When we dream BIG, we must assume our desired result will happen, and then let the worry and doubt surrounding the outcome go. Proceed every day as if your success is inevitable. If we attach our daily efforts to our own personal Olympics, the chasm is too great to cross. We get discouraged, risk getting injured or worse, we quit. Let’s say Serena Williams wanted to be #1 in the world when she was 12 years old. But she lost consecutively that year, and suffered an injury at this time as well. On top of that, maybe the naysayers were prolific since her father was a coach and she did not play traditional junior tournaments. Injury, losses, and negativity could be a lot to bear for Serena Williams, and could definitely take its toll on motivation and progress. So what keeps US in the game and fighting past setbacks, defeats, and those who intentionally or unintentionally, discourage us? We must believe our dream is possible, and then let it go. One of the main characteristics of long-term objectives is that we have little to no control. When a young person wants to win a gold medal in the Olympics (let’s say in a decade or so), she has little or no control whether or not she will make it to the Olympics… nonetheless win a gold medal. She believes and practices every day like it’s possible. She sees herself on the podium, receiving the gold medal. She feels the width of the ribbon around the back of her neck as she bows to receive it and also feels how heavy it is as it hangs around her neck. She hears her National Anthem, feels her hand on her heart with tears of joy in her eyes. She holds her congratulatory bouquet over her head, waving at all the fans holding her country’s flag, finally catching sight of her parents in the stands who are jumping up and down screaming, so proud and filled with love and joy. It’s time to start seeing ourselves today as we want to be in the future. What is it like once you’ve arrived? How does it feel? Who is there to celebrate with you? Create victory in your mind and visit it as often and as heartfelt as you’d visit a friend in need. However, in your day-to-day activities, focus on what you have control over to make progress and let the outcome go. By taking control of your actions, you’ll gain confidence in those small successes which in the long run add up to a big victory and more confidence in your ability to succeed.  How to Gain Clarity for Your Next Big Move | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:05:24

Sometimes our dreams and aspirations are a little mismatched with our efforts. Full transparency... I was called out on this one by my mentor this past January. Don’t get me wrong I was working hard and extremely busy. There was something missing when it came to how I was approaching my next level of success. I had next-leveled my ambitions, but how I spent my time was the same. My ambitions were not aligned with the next level of success I wanted (and knew I deserved.) This worked for a while, but the next level would require me to "go pro." Once I made the necessary adjustments and fine-tuned some key habits, that’s when the next level was attainable. We’ve talked about where you fall on the ladder. But what are your current circumstances now, and what level of commitment are you willing to have? Pro: You are actively taking action to become the person you want to be, and you are remarkably consistent. Proficient: Maybe you are consistent, but you must take your habits and your actions to the next level to get what you want and deserve. Novice: Maybe you are a novice, meaning you want and deserve something, but consistency is not your friend. Quitter: Maybe you gave up for now. But you realize it’s your time to get started or restarted. If it’s your time to "go pro," here are a couple questions that should help you make the shift so you can see the progress, and joy you want and deserve: Assess your current ambitions and your actions, and then ask "what needs to change?" Do you need to ask for help? Do you need to learn a new skill/become more proficient in something? What changes will you make and by when? I am here to make this content real and to help you devise a plan to "go pro" at what matters most to you.

You Can Get UNSTUCK. Here's How... | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:06:17

http://www.sherylkline.com/blog I honor where you are and for what you have accomplished up to this point. It’s often easy to lose sight of the lives we’ve touched, the progress we’ve made and what we have given to others. This affects our momentum, motivation and confidence, so please do take a moment for self gratitude, and the good you have already put into the world. If you are feeling ‘stuck’, it may be time for an ambition checkpoint. This is a world-class tip to help you reassess what stage of life you are in, what’s important to you, and what your next move is. I believe it's time for you to show up in this world as you are meant to. It’s time to next level what matters most to you. It’s time to understand that you have the greatness within you already. That the world is conspiring to coax it out of you and that the world desperately needs to see it. It’s time for you do inspire others to do the same by leading as an example. It’s time to understand that the only limitations are those we put on ourselves, and the only dream that is impossible is one we cannot see. We all have room for improvement. If you have climbed the ranks in a job you love, I hope you have celebrated that success wholeheartedly! What would it be like to take your performance to the next level? Maybe how you treat your team, taking on new initiatives or having a more efficient and sustainable workday. Even if you have all of that down, how are your relationships that matter most? How are you taking care of yourself with exercise, nutrition and downtime? Maybe it’s your in the best shape of your life, but you have not been as present with your partner or kids. What ever your case may be, let’s start today. Yesterday has happened. It’s history. What will you do going forward to be your best? It’s time to reassess your ambitions and to think about who you want to become. As we move through life, our ambitions change. Maybe it’s from career to parent or parent back to career. Maybe it’s from hobbyist to pro, in other words taking a hobby that you love to a career. Maybe it’s from having mediocre relationships with those who matter most to world-class relationships. Maybe it’s from surviving physically to getting into the best shape of your life and thriving. Regardless of the bucket we wish to fill, career, relationships or personal wellness, we must decide if we are going to be a quitter, a novice, a player, or a pro. It’s time. Challenge: 1.Decide if it’s time for YOU. 2.Share what what you are thinking with trusted friend, family member or in a journal. 3.Go forward and commit to a tiny triumph this week. It may be doing a little research, making a couple phone calls or walking around the block.  4 Confidence Tips to Achieve Your Next BIG WIN | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:03:19

It’s time! If you feel like you deserve more, it’s time to go after it. There are many reasons why we (yes, me included:) avoid the crucial conversations or steps required to next level our ambitions and desires. Whatever is holding you back, rest assured it’s 100% normal and OK, but not conducive for the progress you want to see. Keep in mind, your next "BIG WIN" might be restoring or strengthening a relationship. It might be taking your business to the next level, closing one new client, or maybe asking for a raise. Whatever it is for you, there are tools you can learn to gain the confidence required to achieve whatever it is that you want and deserve. Here’s how to get started! Believe Believe what you want is possible AND that you deserve it. This is a vital first step that must be explicit in your mind. If you are not 100%, try writing daily affirmations and and saying them out loud every night and every morning. Recognize Recognize whatever negative emotion is holding you back. For example, if you are fearful of being turned down for a raise, rejected by a client or having an important conversation go bad, recognize that fear and accept it. Acknowledging and validating our own concerns (rather than discounting or pushing them away) will make them less disabling. Release Release whatever negative emotion/concern you have. You are not "getting rid of it," just asking it to move aside for a period of time. Taking five deep belly breaths is a great place to start. Simply listen to your breath when you exhale, and think of your negative emotion/concern floating by. Strategize Strategize by being aware of what you fear/are most concerned with and asking: If I want my desired result, what must I do to make it most likely I will succeed. In other words, what is the most important controllable for you to do to make progress? You can actually use negative emotions as a super power to accelerate progress towards what you want and deserve! www.sherylkline.com/blog

3 Best-Kept Secrets to Win the Day... Consistently! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:05:11

Have you ever tried to cut sugar out of your diet, but the pantry is full of sugary treats? I have, and it usually ends in failure, frustration and disappointment:(. Now, the pantry is filled with foods that support my desire to be more fit and have more energy. We all have so many good intentions and so much as well as good in us to create and to give. We must give ourselves a fighting chance to achieve what we want and deserve. Not just for us, but also for those who matter most to us. Here’s one world-class secret to help you "win the day" consistently which can pay mass dividends over the long haul… Create an environment for your success. In the video, I mention going to Sonoma every Monday to write my book and clearing off my desk completely when is time to write. Take it a step further, I write off-line in Word and disable my internet connection. When at home, all workout clothes get laid out the night before, water bottle filled up, morning shake made. This sets me up for an active, healthy and low stress way to start the day. Whether it’s eating more clean, writing a book, or organizing your office, it’s time to set your environment up for success, so you can have the progress you want and deserve!

3 Tips to Nail Your Next "Big Win" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:11:44

http://www.sherylkline.com/blog WOW! The year is flying by, and I am SO excited that you are part of this amazing community of action takers! If you missed the live (global broadcast) Master Class last Thursday, stay tuned! The attendance and feedback was so was incredible that we are in the process rolling it out again next week. You will be the first to know the details! In the meantime, here are a few important points we covered ... Are you ready to nail your next "Big Win?" Here’s the thing, sometimes dreaming and doing big things is hard ... really hard. So what sets the best apart from the rest, and how can we use these the same tools to next-level what matters most? Below are 3 tips to help you succeed: 1. Get clear on what you want. I mean really define it. Lack of clarity is the death of productivity and progress, so it’s time to articulate what you want and WHY it matters so much to you. Was there an experience you had or someone in your life that influenced you in any way? For me, it was my dad. He always told me to be resilient and focus, and I could do anything I put my mind to. The problem was, I didn’t know how when I was younger. After 20 years of research and working with amazing athletes and business people, I now know how. We are now on track to empower 10,000 people to be Mentally Tough this year to help others dream, plan and achieve their best. What/who REALLY inspires you? 2. Take control of what you want. Assume your desired result will happen, then commit to what you have control over to improve. Ask yourself: What is the most important thing for me to do or to see significant progress on, so I will be one step closer to my next big win? Is it learning to be confident and influential during critical interactions or performing under pressure? Whatever it is, take back control of what you want, by taking action to improve. What will you do this week? Do you need to ask for help? 3. Celebrate the wins, no matter how great or how small. I cannot express enough the importance of this. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I geek out on the science behind why this is SO vital. Here are the basics, we tend to imprint in our mind the things that are highly emotional. Do you remember the last embarrassing or hurtful thing that happened to you with great detail? You get the idea. If we can re-train ourselves to surround the good stuff with lots of emotions, that’s what we’ll remember. Not only that, but it will help us manifest more of the same. So, get used to saying ‘YEEESSSSSSSSS, I am amazing!!!!’, and you will be… If you are crushing it right now, good for YOU! How will you take it to the next level? If not, I BELIEVE IN YOU, and I am here to support you anyway I can. Drop me an email with your questions, thoughts and feedback. Here's to you being amazing! - Sheryl -

My Transformation from Fear and Unhappiness to Becoming Mentally Tough (Interview w/Amanda) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:09:53

Sheryl Kline: Hey there. Sheryl Kline here, mental toughness coach, published author, speaker, and I am so excited to be here today with Amanda. Amanda is going to share a little bit today about what it's like to be a woman in corporate America, some of the successes she had, which there were many, and also some of the challenges and struggles she had. She's going to speak to how being mentally tough would have made her journey a little bit easier. So, welcome Amanda. Amanda: Thanks. Thanks for having me. Sheryl Kline: So, we're going to ask Amanda a couple of questions first. Can you tell us your position at Accenture and all of the amazing things you did, as well as some of the challenges that you had? Amanda: I was Senior Manager in our strategy practice, and I focused on procurement, operating model strategy, with different organizations, Fortune 500 companies, and government work. Sheryl Kline: What were some of the successes and challenges that you faced when you were at Accenture? Amanda: I joined out of college and it was, I really love Accenture as a company. I think it has an amazing culture and I learned so much through that process. I grew as a person, as a leader, and obviously my content knowledge really grew as I went. A lot of the wins were the ability to work with leaders that were in organizations that it just blew my mind, sometimes. I'd be walking into the client building and be sitting down, have meetings with these leaders, and I'm like, "How is this my life?" Right? Especially at my age, getting those kinds of opportunities, and Accenture did a really good job as an organization, making sure that we were ready for those kinds of interactions. The quality, the people that they hired was just so high, so I learned so much about consulting, about my clients' industries, about the subject of procurement, and about myself, in that process. Sheryl Kline: But there were a couple of bumps along the road. If you could speak to one or two of those, and also if you had had the knowledge and the ability to be mentally tough, how that might have helped you. Amanda: Absolutely. So, I like to say to my mentees that the consulting career can have peaks and valleys. Some of the valleys in my own career, one of them was around just my attitude towards work, and my attitude towards how much work. I succumbed, and this is not unique to Accenture, but in the consulting industry and in many professional industries, this expectation that you're always on, and you're always working, and you're always responsive. Sheryl Kline: I don't mean to interrupt, but isn't that exhausting? Amanda: It was so exhausting. I clocked in at about 100 hours, 120 hours some weeks. Sheryl Kline: Wow. Amanda: Very, very, very regularly. Early in my career, I even experienced some all nighters that were pretty devastating, on a pretty regular basis. I think that that level of engagement, there was nobody in the company that was saying, "Amanda, you have to work that hard," but I felt pressured to work that hard because of the cultural norms around that. Yeah, so that led to depression, that led to extreme weight gain, that led to relationship difficulties. That had a lot of ramifications in my total life. (continued on https://youtu.be/IRmL2uVrVDs)

Tactics to Make This YOUR Breakout Year | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:17:35

In this week's Facebook Live video we talked about the importance of dreaming big. Consider the following, and start thinking about YOUR big dream: - In 1976, Steve Wozniak shared with Hewlett Packard (his employer at the time) the idea of creating a personal computer. He was rejected. So he and his friend Steve Jobs got to work themselves on their dream of individual creativity for each user - Martin Luther King had a dream that someday there would be equality for all - When Michael Phelps was 7 years old, he had a dream that there were no limits on what he could achieve Is there anything big or small that you dream of doing? Maybe a trip, running a half marathon, a career change? The books Peak and Talent Is Overrated are just two (but impactful) books that have proven over and over that you are only limited by what you think is possible. So start dreaming big! Why is this SO important? Believe It and Become It. When we believe something is possible, our awareness goes from narrow to broad. In other words, we become more aware of opportunities. We are also more likely to take action. believing is the first step. The Science Says So! Part of our brain, the Reticular Activating System (RAS) helps us make our conscious thoughts a reality. The RAS acts as a filter and decides which information is important, and which isn’t. Utilizing its full potential can contribute greatly to you living the life you want ... or being stuck in a terrible routine. That's right, it can backfire, so make sure your thoughts are positive and encouraging! Great, but how? Dream Big. Do Small. Get comfortable giving up control of whether or not your big dream will happen. What? Yep, if you're able to do this you will be better equipped to stick with the process. It's consistency that wins. Focus your day to day efforts on controllables to improve and get consistent. Very consistent. Mental Toughness is the tool belt or catalyst which helps you to make consistent progress and to be happy along the way.  3 Tips to Use Negative Emotions as a Superpower | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:18:21

Do you ever feel like negative thoughts and emotions are holding you back? Emotions are no joke when it comes to us being able to be our best, especially in moments that matter most. Everyone experiences negative emotions from time to time! I want to help you use negative emotions as a superpower! There are a couple things that world-class performers do a little differently which helps them to use emotions (even the negative ones!) to their advantage. In this podcast you'll learn: -- The (very) basic science behind why managing emotions is SO important, and what this means to you -- The consequences of not having a game plan to deal with negative emotions -- The 3 simple steps you can start doing today to help you go from rattled to ready

One World-Class Tool to Crush Negative Thoughts and Excuses | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:07:06

Negative self-talk crushes confidence. Period. One rabbit hole you don’t want to go down if you have an ambition that’s important to you. If you want to crush negative thoughts AND excuses and then get busy with progress, here’s what you need to start practicing today: positive re-framing. What is it? A way of acknowledging the struggle you having and then use it to your advantage. How does it work? It activates your RAS or your reticular activating system which is a part of your brain that controls and serves as a filter of sorts that only lets the important information through. Thinking about buying a certain type of new car and then that’s all you see on the road? That’s your RAS filtering out all the other cars that don’t matter to you. Why is this important? If you over emphasize negative thoughts and make excuses, that is what your RAS will think is important. Guess what? Negative thoughts will compound as will your excuses. Yikes! What to do? Start ‘re-framing’ your negative thoughts to positive ones. Then, your RAS will work to your advantage, and you will be more aware of seeking out solutions and making progress (not excuses:). Here’s an example: You miss a day going to the gym. Instead of saying ‘I am never going to get fit.’, you might say ‘I didn’t make it to the gym, but I am committed to my health. I will walk after dinner and get back on track tomorrow. (bonus thought: Announcing this out loud at dinner will up the ante and make it more likely it will happen as well.) Just like getting a six-pack of a promotion at work, positive re-framing takes practice. Start today and watch the transformation happen. I am here to support you every step along the way, so let’s do this! Join Me for FREE Mental Toughness Training! Friendly reminder that I will be live on Facebook (www.facebook.com/mentaltoughnesscoach) to coach and support you at 11:00 a.m. PST Monday, Wednesday and Fridays!  3 Tips to Gain World-Class Clarity for 2018 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:17:57

If you are like me, you are getting bombarded with content on how to make 2018 amazing, and most of it is GREAT! But, there’s just one problem. To truly make 2018 amazing, we need to gain clarity on what’s important to us, and then have the mindset to make clear and measurable progress. Whoa! That sounds like a lot, so where should we start? Well that part is easy! Gaining world-class clarity on what’s most important to us is the vital first step. Your ship needs to know where to sail, or you won’t get far. You will also get pretty worn out in the process and possibly give up. We don’t want that! Let’s take the first step to your best year ever, together. Here are 3 tips: Choose family/relationships, career, wellness… What is one area that is incredibly important to you where you didn’t quite pull off your best last year? Believe what you desire is possible. Yep, it’s proven in science that we believe what we consistently tell ourselves (This of course can backfire too:/). Positivity is a thing, and you must do it often. Start here with the positive affirmations app, ThinkUp. Choose a category (I have a category just for Mental Toughness, but there are many), and listen in the evening 60 minutes before bedtime. Make a date this week with someone who has a high level of clarity in an area that is important to you OR with someone that can help you. Ask what influenced them, what motivates them, how they measure success…etc. Clarity is the starting line, and the finish is happiness. When we are doing our best, we tend to be more happy :) In between is believing what you want is possible, and the Mental Toughness tools to make clear and consistent progress even when it gets rough. I am here to support you every step along the way, so let’s do this! Choose, Believe and Make a Date by next week! Friendly reminder that I will be live on Facebook (www.facebook.com/mentaltoughnesscoach) to coach and support you at 11:00 a.m. PST Monday, Wednesday and Fridays! My mission is to help others become world-class at what’s most important to them. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if I can help you or your team to be Mentally Tough, so you can dream, plan and achieve your best. Here's to you being amazing! - Sheryl -

Are You Ready? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:06:18

I want 2018 to be different for you. It’s time to take control of what you want, plan for it, and make clear and measurable progress. Period. Here’s the thing. The planning and foundation starts now (not in January:). It’s been proven in science that there are a couple things we must do to make clear and measurable progress towards what we want, so I created the 7 Day Mental Toughness Challenge. I teach it to world-class athletes, teens, senior leaders, and CEO’s of the household, so they can dream, plan and achieve their best. Now, it’s YOUR turn! What if you have already completed it? No problem. Let’s do it again to help you next-level whatever is important to you. Just download your 7 Day Mental Toughness Challenge, and we are off to the races!: http://www.sherylkline.com/challenge Day 1 is One Person: We have spoken about accountability recently, but who will be your challenge partner and why will this person be a great cheerleader for you? World-class performers share their dreams which is a big part of keeping them motivated. If you are playing both roles, get ready to be your biggest fan! When filling this out on your 7 Day Mental Toughness Challenge worksheet, be sure to remember the following: Choose someone who is an expert at what you want to improve. At a very minimum, he/she should be better than you. Choose someone who will be very transparent with you. In other words someone who be willing to cheer you on AND who will be willing to tell you when you are not showing up 100%. Honesty is the best policy, even if the conversation is a bit uncomfortable. Choose someone who will push you beyond your comfort zone. Making progress, especially into uncharted territories, is hard work (it’s better you know now:). How hard do you work when you go to the gym by yourself (if you go!). Get the point? If you want to learn more about the the science behind this content, check out the book Peak: The Secrets from the New Science of Expertise. For now, all you have to do is choose your One Person by next week! I have my One Person, so let’s make sure you have yours too! Here's to you being amazing! - Sheryl -

From “No Talent” to 2X Olympian & Gold Medalist ... A Conversation with Leroy Dixon | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:12:25

What’s one thing we all have in common with Arianna Huffington and two-time Olympian Leroy Dixon? We all experience fear and doubt. These are two emotions that are felt at every level of performance, from novice to world-class. Striving for the next level and performing in moments that matter is scary, for everyone. There are also a couple fundamental differences that separates the best from the rest. I was fortunate enough to interview Leroy Dixon recently, and he shared two of the most important factors that helped him go from “no talent” to Olympian, gold medal winner and (did I mention?) the 7th fastest man every recorded in his event. Yes, Mr. Dixon has beaten Usain Bolt in his career. Maybe we are not going to be Olympians or one of the most successful authors and business women in the world, but we CAN be world-class at what’s important to us. As a matter of fact, I believe we MUST. The army of do-gooders must prevail, so the time for us to level up is now. Here are the two tips from Leroy Dixon to do just that: 1. Believe you can. Believe wholeheartedly that your dream is possible. I mean believe down to your DNA that you can achieve what you desire. This will require some work as we are filtering out our past thoughts, past failures, the nay-sayers and our loving family who doesn’t always say the right things. This is going to require some work even before your journey starts. Here’s the app (there is a free version) that I use personally and that all my clients use, ThinkUp http://apple.co/2rymDk8 2. Surrender in the moments that matter. Whether at the starting line of the 4 X 100 in the Olympics, walking into the first major launch meeting for Thrive Global, or it’s your first presentation to your new boss, Dixon shares that we must step outside ourselves and surrender to what we have shown up to do. Show up fully present and serve at your highest level without any worry of the outcome. Leroy Dixon was a “very small and skinny kid with no particular talent for sports.” It was his belief in himself and his ability to surrender fully in the moments that mattered. Of course, there were many important coaches and supporters along the way, but the message is this: Dream big, get a mentor or coach, and put in the work. There is absolutely no reason why you can’t be world-class at what’s important to you. The next time you have an important event coming up, try using the ‘How to Level Up’ worksheet to help you surrender, so you can deliver your best performance.  One Secret to Next-Level What Matters Most | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:07:45

Growing up, no one told me that life can be hard sometimes. Raising kids, growing a business, running a marathon, and contributing to the community can be incredibly rewarding. And hard. We can learn a lot from world-class performers. They dream big, do small often and consistently, and they fail (a lot). Are Olympians, accomplished musicians, senior leaders, and those who are starting movements to make the world a better place equipped with super powers, an abnormally high IQ (well, some are but not a prerequisite) or an extra "success" chromosome? According to Angela Duckworth, the author of Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance, the answer is "no." In order to be world-class at what’s most important to us, we must commit to attempting what’s hard for us. We must be intentional about pushing ourselves to do things that are difficult and then stick with it for a specific amount of time. If you want to get better at something that’s important to you, choose a difficult goal (and get busy :). Here are a couple ways to get started: Ask Yourself What Is Important and Why? It’s important to choose something difficult and that you connect it to a high level of purpose. For example, "I want to help 10,000 women to be Mentally Tough. I feel their highest contribution to themselves, their families, their companies and to the world as well as their personal happiness, depend on them having a world-class mindset." Get Accountable. Find someone who is more knowledgeable than yourself to learn from. This has been proven by Dr. Anders Ericsson, author of Peak: Secrets from the New Science of Expertise. We must learn from an expert who will push us outside our comfort zone and then be willing to try and try again. Celebrate the Wins and Neutralize the Setbacks. It’s important to surround big and small wins with lots of emotion, especially when attempting something difficult. As for the setbacks, and there will be setbacks with high ambitions, be sure to process them in a logical and matter of fact way. For example, "I’ve been ignored by Oracle for months (purely hypothetical:) which is a setback for my goal of helping 10,000 women to be mentally tough." "That’s frustrating, but I accept the frustration and will keep following up." "I crushed VMware last week and continue to transform lives from the in-person and global attendees there. I choose to celebrate that!" So, run farther, jump higher, try a different hobby, or go for something at work that you think is beyond your reach. You are only limited by what you think is possible, and others will cheer you on and follow your lead to next-level something that matters; even if it’s hard.
