Faith and Familia show

Faith and Familia

Summary: Welcome to our Familia! We are Rashawn and Denisse Copeland! We both grew up in dysfunction and have had traumatic experiences and mistakes that hurt us as children. We were reluctant and afraid to become parents because we only knew the outcome of our childhood.Once we were mentored by a beautiful married couple devoted to Jesus and the scriptures, everything changed. Everyone should see what a God-fearing family looks like.We created Faith and Familia to show raw moments in our parenting journey to show every struggling family that freedom is possible in Christ. Our mission is to equip families, bring confidence in God to fathers, bring joy to mothers, and inspire children. I hope that the real stories of our family will bring hope, encouragement and healing to people everywhere — and wherever they are, Christ will be made known through us!

Drunk Driver hits a Pregnant Mother - Life Is A Vapor | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 518

What do we do when the unexpected happens? Have we pondered to brevity of life lately? As we head into year 2022 here's a reminder.... Living knowing that your life is a vapor is different than just living. Things here are passing away. You’ve got to hold on to what will stand. Savor what matters. Life Is Short. Eternity Is Long. Live Like It. This may sound harsh, but it's true as night follows the day. You will exist forever. You and God are both in the universe to stay—either as friends on His terms, or enemies on yours—which it will be is proven in this life. And this life is a vapor. Two seconds, and we will be gone.In Today's short meditation, Rashawn Copeland will connect you to a fresh understanding of God and a renewed relationship with Him. You’ll find your faith stirred to make every day count for Christ when you consider life as a vapor.Time is precious. We are fragile. Life is short. Eternity is long. Every minute counts. Oh, to be a faithful steward of the breath God has given me. Three texts resound in my ears: “Redeem the time” (Ephesians 5:16 ); “It is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy” (1 Corinthians 4:2); “His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me” (1 Corinthians 15:10).  Live No Lies - John Mark Comer | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3028

We are at war. Not with a foreign government or domestic terrorists or a creepy new artificial intelligence hell-bent on taking over the world. No, it’s a war we feel deep inside our own chests: We are at war with lies. The problem isn’t so much that we tell lies but that we live them. We let them into our bodies, and they sabotage our peace. All around us in the culture and deep within our own body memories are lies: deceptive ideas that wreak havoc on our emotional health and spiritual well-being, and deceptive ideas about who God is, who we are, and what the good life truly is.The choice is not whether to fight or not fight, but whether we win or surrender.Grab your copy today: https://www.amazon.com/Live-No-Lies-Recognize-Sabotage/dp/B08TRR5RZS/

Start with Grief end with God's goodness | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2808

What do we do when tragedy strikes? Where do we run.... When a loved one dies suddenly, young, or by suicide, families and friends are often left in shock-riddled grief. Shock and stigmas often isolate and stall healing. Even as grievers are yearning to connect with others. Today we will talk to my friend Heidi Paulec about her new book, Abiding Light is a four-generation testimony-rich resource for those grieving this kind of loss and for the community who supports them. It can be read alone or in a group as it serves as a companion to foster compassionate care and conversation through deep grief. Simply through reading the personal stories within Abiding Light, empathy and sympathy -given space and time- can seed courage and deeper connect through patient conversation.
