Episode VIII: The Fast Dead Guy | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 33:00

If you want to join us in the punnery, send an email to episode8@punintensive.com and talk to us. Do you have good advice about St. Patrick's Day? Do you've any good camera puns? Can you make a list of puns on one word that exceeds 25? Today's panelists are: Aaron Fasel Bill Crider David Gugenheim David Wyde Gary Hallock A really cool part of today's show was our very special guest, David Wyde, who puns at open mics, with friends, and to people at parties who unwitty-ingly make eye contact. He has competed at Seattle's Pundamonium and Austin's O. Henry Pun-Off. He once rendered a bar full of comedy seekers completely silent, in a head-to-head pun-off on hospitals: "My voice keeps going up and down; I think I have an inflection."   David sprinkled puns throughout his talk on web cookies at the DefCon hacker conference, but they're too crumby to include here. As a software engineer and an official chess master, he tries to avoid The Mate-Tricks.   And don't forget to remember that the next O. Henry Pun-Off World Championship is in Austin on May 11th, 2019. We also want to give special thanks to the band Dark Meat, whose music ("When the Killers Came") we use for interstitials. We'll see you in a week!

Bonus Episode - Paul Silverman Interview | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 55:27

Happy New Year! We will be coming back from our holiday break next Monday, but in the meantime we have a fun interview with comedian Paul Silverman to tide you over. Here's his bio: Semi professional comedian. Hashtag games aficionado. Winner of best male lead in a short film in the 2016 Finnish short film festival. Creator of Pun Intended, a game show designed to put puns in the spotlight and reward not only the contestants but also include and stimulate audience participation. Producer of comedy shows designed to showcase local talent with the ulterior motive of making sure comedians get paid actual money as opposed to the BS of the promise of "exposure." Staunch defender of puns/ wordplay as a legitimate form of entertainment. Stubborn as a mule. But not a drug mule. Those people seem pretty desperate. We also encourage you to check out some of the people mentioned in the podcast, including: Tim Minchin Demetri Martin The Pun Guys Liza Koshy Not to mention the classics: Rodney Dangerfield Steven Wright Remember that the Punoff is in Austin on May 11th, 2019, and we also want to give special thanks to the band Dark Meat, whose music ("When the Killers Came") we use for interstitials.

I swear to God we will figure out the sound issues sooner than later. Thanks for bearing with us. In the meantime, enjoy the hilarity!

Episode III: Stonehenge is a Myth | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 30:29

This will come as a shock, but one of the microphones didn't work again. Fortunately our crack team of producers have started to include an ambient mic for just such a situation. But Gary sounds weird again. Also it was his mic that didn't work.

Episode II: A Track Full of Groans | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 41:06

Apologies to David, whose microphone pretty much never worked, but our crack team of producers never noticed. We boosted the audio so you can still hear him. Just sounds weird.

 Episode I: The Grandson Penance | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 39:54

Apologies to Gary, whose microphone stopped working about ten minutes in, long before our crack team of producers noticed. We boosted the audio so you can still hear him. Just sounds weird.
