Stay Wild Ep. #20 with Colette Kent | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 43:23

Hey little humans, I’m Norma Jean and welcome to Stay Wild! This is episode 20 with today’s guest, Colette Kent. Colette is an Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor, Panchakarma Technician, and a Yoga Instructor who came to Bali to learn more about the body and spirit. She has been in the health and fitness world for several years and went through a realization during her 20’s that her supposedly healthy lifestyle is causing her mind and body to be out of balance. Studying Ayurveda helped her get back on track and learned how to live her life according to her unique physical and mental constitution – and she is here to educate other people. “[Ayurveda] is about understanding your unique physical and mental constitution and it gives you guidelines in every aspect of your life.” On this episode, Colette explains what Ayurveda is and how it helps us understand our mind and body. She also explains how this traditional healing modality opens the door to opportunities. She talks about the practices of Panchakarma, the ultimate mind-body healing experience for detoxifying the body, strengthening the immune system, and restoring balance and well-being “It’s the manual to life that we never received.” The central concept of Ayurvedic medicine is the theory that health exists when there is a balance between three fundamental bodily bio-elements or “Doshas” called Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. She discusses the characteristics of each dosha, the climate and the food that is good for each dosha. “I love Ayurveda ‘cause it’s very logical, it’s natural, and it makes sense.” Join us in this conversation on ancient medicine, body constitution, and restoring balance.
