Let's be honest: Hollywood is out of ideas. From endless reboots and sequels, to anything that will make a quick buck, the studios, executives, and stars of today's silver screen are driving movie fans to their limit. How did we get here? Is there a way out? These are some of the questions that Conner and Brendan are ready to answer. In Part 2 of this 2-part mini-series, Conner and Brendan discuss the disastrous state of the Walt Disney Company, including the fall from grace of their storytelling legacy in favor of something like the recently-announced live-action remake of Moana, a film that is not yet 7 years old. Bob Iger has returned as CEO, but where does Disney go from here? Is Iger the solution to the problem, or is he the hidden cause of their problems? They certainly do not have an issue with making money, which Iger seems to be very fond of. Additionally, they conclude with the topic of the growing polarization of the moviegoer. Hollywood is forcing us to choose whether we want to be heart people, or head people, and they manipulate us in ways even we don't realize. Is the future in the wide or limited release? From A24 to Universal, no stone in Hollywood is left unturned.

In Part 1 of this 2-part mini-series, Conner and Brendan discuss the recently-announced Harry Potter series, that is expected to be greenlit at HBO soon. The series is expected to be a retelling of the Harry Potter novels, which have themselves spawned a successful 8-movie franchise. How can this series be expected to compete with the movies? Why do we need these stories told again? Join as we dive into the messy state of Warner Bros, JK Rowling, and the franchise itself.

1 year, 2 months, and 16 days. That's how long it's been since we uploaded. It has been a minute, and a lot has happened since then. I'm sure it's been quite the 1 year, 2 months, and 16 days for you all as well.  Did we retire? Yeah, for a while. Are we back? You bet. You begged and pleaded, so here we are. And we couldn't be more excited. But in order for us to come out of retirement, there had to be something incredible. Something that piqued both of our interests so much that we just had to sit here on Zoom and talk about it. What's that "something" you ask? Surprise, surprise: it's Star Wars. That little show called Andor to be exact. Thanks for sticking with us. We couldn't be happier to be plugging the mics back in and talking shop. And don't worry, we aren't going away again. What a better way to get excited for Zack Snyder's Justice League then to take a trip down memory lane and revisit our old friend Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. While there are things we don't like about this movie (and there are a lot of those things), there are quite a few things that we may have treated too harshly at one point or another. We'll be getting into all of that, but more importantly, how does this movie make a great precursor to the Snyder Cut? Spoiler alert: we might be even more excited now than we were before.
