Seth is joined by Pop Culture Event Organizer and new friend of the show Bernie Bregman of Xlevelent.com to discuss the 1st of (hopefully) many seasons of The Boys. Spoiler: The praise for this show has no bounds, as the guys explain what it is about this show and the universe they are creating works so well. Also, they discuss showrunner Eric Kripke, and how his past series lead him to these fabulous eight episodes.

The 1983 classic film The Princess Bride was trending on Twitter this week, and not for good reasons. Sony Pictures Entertainment CEO Tony Vinciquerra told Variety that, "Very famous people whose names I won't use, but they want to redo 'The Princess Bride.'" That set off a Twitter firestorm from stars and fans alike calling the film a classic. Recently, Seth moderated a panel on The Princess Bride with stars Cary Elwes and Chris Sarandon. They regaled the crowd with tales from the film, and touched on the many co-stars from the film including Robin Wright, Billy Crystal, and of course, Andre the Giant. Recorded live at Wizard World Chicago in August 2019, Kevin Conroy and Dean Cain do a joint panel together, entitled Batman vs. Superman. Conroy makes his fourth appearance on the show, and Cain, his first. Cain reflects on the character he played in the iconic TV show Lois and Clark- The New Adventures of Superman. Conroy reflects on the iconic role as the voice of Batman in Batman the Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Justice League, and many subsequent projects. Both actors were asked about the upcoming CW Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover that's coming in December. Conroy is scheduled to play an older Bruce Wayne. Cain has not committed to the project.

Recorded live at Wizard World Chicago in August 2019, four iconic voice actors sat down for a panel commemorating the original incarnation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon. The conversation veered into their histories, and the voice acting process, with a special reference to the other iconic roles that these four gentlemen have portrayed in animation. Join Rob Paulsen, Cam Clarke, Townsend Coleman, and Barry Gordon have over 1000 credits to their names combined. Iconic actors, and a fun, candid chat.

This week on the show we are joined by former ESPN producer, Video Game writer and blogger, and former writer and producer for the DC Universe app Ray Carsillo. Ray discusses his work on the app and also his thoughts on Avengers Endgame, DC animation, and more in a fun conversation that ranges all over the super hero universe. Victor Dandridge returns to review the final season of the Netflix/Marvel series Jessica Jones. This is also the end of the run between Netflix and Marvel. They discuss the legacy of these shows, where these characters stand at the end of the show, and the show's controversial ending. CW fans should note the 1st 20 minutes of this episode is reaction to the news that Black Lightning will take part in the upcoming crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths, and that longtime Batman voice Kevin Conroy will play an older Bruce Wayne. Kurt Lehner joined the show in a recording taped at Wizard World Philadelphia 2019. Lehner is a Canadian Illustrator and Animation Artist. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, and ever since his childhood, has had an absolute passion for Comic Book and Fantasy Art. A graduate from the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, his career started in Advertising. Working for such companies as TDF, ADS and J. Walter Thompson, he soon found his path into the Animation Industry. Through his talents, he has worked on projects for such companies as "Walt Disney, Warner Bros., Marvel, Dreamworks, Nelvana Studios" and many more... In this episode, he discusses the show Gargoyles as well as his other work. Plus, they discuss the current state of comics and how big these properties have become.

In keeping with the tradition of this podcast, Victor returns from San Diego to join Seth in an insider review of the Comic-Con. Victor explains his roles there, and they debate the benefits of being there vs. following it social media. Then, the discussion focusses on the 10 Marvel Studios properties: 5 feature films and 5 Disney+ Series. They weigh the pros and cons of each, and there are a few disagreements. Also, the focus is on the DC CW TV shows big crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths, and the casting news of Brandon Routh returning to the role of Superman, and Burt Ward joining the show as well.

The theme song. The characters. So many of the listeners to this podcast learned about the X-Men from this 1990's animated series. Eric Lewald served as the showrunner, while his wife Julia was a writer on the series. Together, they wrote an amazing retrospective on the series in a book entitled "Previously... on X-Men." In this mammoth episode, the Lewalds do a deep dive on this fascinating history. There is nothing ordinary about this episode. It is a deep dive about a great series that has a lot of stories to tell. If the world doesn't know who the Beatles are, and in that reality, they never created the music he knows about, then is he plagiarizing their material? Recorded live from Wizard World Philadelphia in June, 2019, acclaimed actor John Glover joined the show. He discussed playing Lionel Luthor on Smallville, and its impact on the genre. Plus, he updates us on who from the cast he keeps in touch with. He also covered his role in the film Shazam! and how similar it is to Lionel. He also discussed his relationship with Batman. First, as the Riddler in the acclaimed Batman- The Aniamted Series, then as Doctor Jason Woodrue in Batman and Robin (1997). Then, Victor joins the show to discuss Smallville and its place in history.

In addition to an honest, critical review of Dark Phoenix, the guys dive into the original source matieral, the Dark Phoenix Saga, done brilliantly in both comic books and animation, yet failed twice in 2 movies.
