Megan Medrano, RD, LD is an eating disorder and sports dietitian based out of Lexington, KY. As a runner herself, she is passionate about helping athletes and non-athletes alike cultivate a peaceful and enjoyable relationship with food and their body. She utilizes principles of intuitive eating and Health At Every Size into her sports nutrition education in order to help athletes find a pattern of eating that genuinely helps them feel their best, without engaging in restrictive or unhelpful behaviors. Megan is the owner of her private practice Run Whole Nutrition, where she sees clients both in-person in Lexington, Kentucky, as well as virtually all over the country.

 Episode 61: Rachel Schilkowsky on Running with a Full-Time Job, Body Image, and Overcoming Self-Doubt | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:00:45

Introduction / Bio: Rachel Schilkowsky (née Sorna) has been running competitively for 10 years. After a successful senior year of high school which culminated in a 3rd place finish at the 2010 New Balance Outdoor Track & Field Nationals in the 2000m Steeplechase, she began her collegiate career at Cornell University. While at Cornell, she earned a total of five All-American honors, including two 4th place finishes in the 3000m Steeplechase at the 2013 and 2014 Division 1 NCAA Outdoor Championships. Since graduating, Rachel has transitioned primarily to road racing where she has found great success, particularly over the longer distances. She won the Hartford Marathon - her debut at the distance - in October of 2018 with a time of 2:41:03. That performance earned her a spot on the line at the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials in Atlanta, Georgia. In March of that same year she set a personal best of 1:15:52 in the half marathon. She is a member of the USATF club, New England Distance, and is professionally sponsored by rabbit running apparel and Topo Athletic running shoes. When she wasn’t busy training or racing at Cornell, Rachel was hard at work earning first a Bachelors in Biological Engineering and then a masters in Mechanical Engineering, also from Cornell. Upon graduating in December 2014, she started her career as technical consultant at a medical devices consulting firm in Boston, MA.

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Colleen Quigley is a current Nike and Bowerman Track Club team member whom she signed with after her incredible career at Florida State University. While at Florida State, Colleen won the national title in the 3,000-meter steeplechase during her senior year. She totaled nine NCAA All-American honors between cross country and track & field and broke multiple school records. Colleen graduated from Florida State in 2015 completing her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics with a 3.94 GPA within the honors program. Outside of Track & Field, Colleen worked as a helpline volunteer for the National Eating Disorders Association during the summer of 2014, and worked for Glamour Magazine as an intern for the booking editor during the summer of 2012. Quigley was also a model for Wilhelmina Models from 2007-11, and worked in New York, London, the Bahamas, Amsterdam and the Turks and Caicos Islands for such clients as Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Prescriptives, Escada, Fornarina, Simons and Glamour Magazine.

Emma is a distance-runner, writer, and activist who explores the intersection between agriculture and social justice. She recently graduated from Grinnell College, where she majored in Political Science and Environmental Studies and ran four years of Cross Country and Track and Field. Currently, Emma is conducting a year-long research and writing project, traveling around the western United States, and collecting stories from women in agriculture, with a particular focus on immigrant women. Aside from running, writing, and social justice, Emma enjoys getting lost in the woods, dogs with human names, and smashed bananas covered in peanut butter.

Lauren Floris is a wife, mother, cross country coach, and runner living in sunny Southern California. She currently runs for rabbitELITE and 361 degrees. Her two biggest passions in life are running and motherhood. Lauren strives to be an example to other women that they don't have to give up their running (or general fitness) goals once they become mothers. Last December, Lauren ran her fourth marathon, the California International Marathon, ran a 22 minute PR and qualified for the Olympic Marathon Trials. Currently pregnant with her second daughter, due in January 2019, Lauren loves to spend time with her family, enjoying good food, and writing on her blog The Foodie Runner.
