Recovery with Mary Sabo | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2023

It was about eight years ago that Mary was overhwlemed, in denial, and filled with fear.  She was constantly in motion, partying too hard, and working even harder.  Mary had no off switch, and was very depressed.  She had hit rock bottom.  Battling an alcohol addiction, and a dependency on anti-anxiety medication, she was engaging in all sorts of self-sabotaging behaviors.  Mary had a horrible diet and no self-care. Instead of leading the fulfilling life she had always dreamed of, she was living day to day in unsatisfying jobs with no real sense of direction or purpose.  Foggy and frazzled, she was stuck.  Mary had no idea how to move forward, and what she truly wanted.  She came across a quote that would change her life, "In the middle of the fear lies the existence of opportunity".  Mary checked into rehab and onto recovery.  She feels it is because of her re

Megan From Mars | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1067

Meg Sangimino started her yoga journey in high school, but became more serious about her practice in college.  She was a nationally ranked javelin thrower in college and yoga helped with her core strength and flexibility.  Yoga soon became a big part of managing the stress in her life as she graduated college and moved to Washington DC to work as a civil engineer.  She believes in the power of her breath, in and

Stop Chasing with Lizzie Baxter | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2041

Since earning her RYT-200 certification, Lizzie has participated in several workshops-both as a teacher-and a student. Lizzie teaches a powerful Vinyasa flow with creative sequencing and focus on alignment. She pays special attention to the breath and how it is used in deep connection to the movements of the body. Because of her love and knowledge of Yin Yoga and deep stretch and its importance to a well-rounded yoga practice, she also incorporates a lot of long holds during the cool down to really open the joints and stretch the muscles and connective tissue.  Lizzie discovered yoga at the age of 12 when she wandered into a yoga studio completely curious and open-minded. The studio owner asked her to get a permission slip signed and she came back the very next day ready to give it a try. The rest is history. @lizzie_yogini

I’m The Rockstar with Peter Sizemore | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 250

Peter Sizemore grew up in a small town in Gerogia.  He knew he was special at an early age, when his momma told him so.  During his youth, he played all sports, and was in his words, "#1" at all of them.  Peter connected with yoga after an overhwhelming amount of women asked him to teach.  He listened to their call, and started to grow a following.  You can find Peter teaching hot, sweaty classes with his shirt off.  Peter is the owner of a hot yoga studio, which he claims is very hot, but not as hot as him.  He teaches without a shirt, after surveys indicated his students demand it.  Peter is an avid narcissist and has mirrors in his studio(primarily to stare at himself).  We were honored to grab some of Peter's time and find out more about his journey.  There are no links to connect with Peter, but he explains how to find him in the podcast.  Dive Under The Water with Erin Ward | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1645

Erin Ward strives to find out what it means to thrive and how to help others to do the same. Movement, breath, and meditation have evolved as her primary access points to freedom from suffering states of being. Born and raised on the east coast, Erin defined herself early on as an athlete, spending most of her time on the basketball court, the lacrosse field, and the track. It was when she landed in NYC for college that her world turned upside down. Battling anxiety, Erin was baptized into the yoga practice and never looked back. She took solace in intentional movement and patient, meditative breathing. The yoga practice took her out of the mind chatter and into her body — physically, emotionally, and energetically.  Observation with Daun Jones | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2227

I became interested in yoga as a way of balancing the physical routine of training for marathons and triathlons. I soon discovered the deeper, mindful benefits of a regular yoga practice. With a desire to help others experience both mental and physical wellness, I pursued yoga teacher training, graduating in 2014 as an RYT-200 from Evolution Yoga NC. I remain committed to continuing my education in various forms of yoga and holistic health. In the journey of yoga and life, I am tremendously grateful to the teachers and mentors who opened my understanding and assisted my progress. I strive to pass on the support, compassion and generosity modeled by my husband and children to everyone I have the privilege of guiding in a yoga practice. My classes weave breath and movement with Become a supporter of this podcast: https://anchor.fm/yogatalkpod/support
