YOGA TALK POD
Summary: Real People, Real Stories, Real Yoga.
Don't get me wrong, I love Gary Vee. I have read both of his books and have learned so much. I get him, and we both are from the NY metro area-and are...(sadly) Jets fans. I love to hustle and work hard. However, not everyone was given the reigns of the family business after livng the hard life at Mount Ida College in the ghettos of Newton, Mass.(there are no ghettos there)worth $3 million when he jumped on. He talks of the "enormous freedom" with an ad budget given to him by his father. That isn't exactly self-made. Now, let me say, I am not knocking him for maximizing his opportunity-but don't make it something it's not. I think some of the things he says and street preaches(to high school kids)are irresponsible and dangerous for adults with real responsibilities. That may be why I never see him speaking with droves of people taking selfies above the age of 20. Again, this is said with respect, but I just want to give another perspective on making it, working hard, and doing it without screaming at people to hustle ALL DAY EVERYDAY!!! Dude, do some yoga/meditate/take one less Adderall?*disclaimer-don't know if he takes Addreall, but seems to exhibit the mania of someone on amphetamines. Deep breath, and listen. I love Erin! She came on the show as an early adopter, and had just move from NYC to LA at the time of this episode(February of 2018). It happened to be her birthday, so I made her a song. Erin started writing blogs on her website, www.erinroseward.com, and I asked her if we could turn them into a weekly feature. She agreed, and that became, "Excavating With Erin". We took a break for a bit while she built her career even bigger out in Hollyweird. However, it is so gratifying that we will be uniting on Tuesday, 10/16/18, for our first show in a long time! Yay! Music for the parody is, "Forgot About Dre", originally performed by Eminem, and produced by Dr. Dre and Mel Man. I am still looking for original, royalty-free music to be used on the regular for our show intros/outros. For more info how to submit yours, go to podcastpanacea.com
Peter Sizemore is a Rockstar! Nuff' Said...Enjoy this bit from our first season.
This is taken from our first season when we were The Yoga Moves You Podcast. We have a lot of great content that I want to get to all these new ears. So, without further adieu, enjoy our interview with Addell Bridges. *Original Airdate, May 14, 2018. Adell is a world traveling yoga teacher and health coach. Yoga has changed her life for the better in every way, and so it’s her desire and passion to share this powerful practice with as many people as she can. @addellbridges www.addellbridgesyoga.com WE WANT YOUR MUSIC! Submit your music to be in the running for our new show intro and outro. Entries can be placed at podcastpanacea.com Umm...bye bye...buh bye? Bye Bye
This interview is with Daun Jones, who was a teacher at my first yoga studio. I hated that studio, because we bough it from a previous owner, and inherited some ugly paint, teachers and students(ugly means-not nice in this case-so don't think I am talking about physical looks). Daun was the ONLY teacher who we kept, and she helped me through a really tough time! For that, I am grateful and loyal. Remember who was great, and never forget. We need music for our show opening/closing. If you think you got what it takes, sign up at podcastpanacea.com to enter your submission. The top 5 entries will go up at podcastpanacea.com with listeners voting for the winner! It’s $10 to enter your original, royalty free music. Yoga Talk Pod will own the rights to the music if you are selected as one of our two winners(opening/closing music). That’s the roughest part of this contest…it’s all great when you think about getting your music heard to a ridiculously large amount of people! Sign up today, you got nothing to lose except $10. Have you played Powerball lately? Yeah, take this week off.

In this episode, I talk with Josephine Lau and Alyssa Mak, owners of, "Grace and Strength" yoga studio in Sydney and Melbourne Australia. They are a Christian Yoga Studio(?), and they explain their perspective on how that is possible. Both Josephine and Alyssa were trained with Brooke Boone and Holy Yoga, a non-profit that offers Christ centered yoga teacher training. Oh Brooke, bless her heart. Thank you to Macklemore for the opening of our show. I recorded it live from his awesome concert over the summer!
In this talk, I discuss how these two emotions propelled me to where I wanted to be. I hope my story helps you, and if not, someone else you care about. I developed my Ashtangasana Yoga Teacher Training Program several years back. I have always had it in the back of my mind to package this program and make it available for studios to purchase and use as their own. I love curriculum development and love the idea of helping studios grow. I successfully packaged the program and have started to sell it! I have had a wonderful response. I am so excited to continue learning all the aspects of promoting and running a different kind of business. Though the technical aspects of websites, computers, etc....is always a challenge for me! A true practice of patience for me! And if you have a chance, check out my website www.yogastudiotraining.com. This was a major psychological accomplishment for me to publish my own site! Please connect with Adriana at www.yogastudiotraining.com To find out more about Adriana's other passion, Neuro-Feedback, see www.eeginfo.com Thank you to our sponsor www.PodcastPanacea.com, who produce Yoga Talk Pod
Anand Mehrotra is a modern Indian yogi and guru who grew up in Rishikesh, India, the birthplace of yoga. I had the opportunity to ask @theanandmehrotra and some questions about his journey, teachings and mission. The full interview is up by searching for Yoga Talk Pod, anywhere you listen to podcasts. I cannot write enough words to express the joy I feel after speaking with Anand. He has a very special way of blending ancient wisdom with a modern approach. You can learn more about Anand and Sattva Yoga at www.sattvaconnect.com Thank you to our sponsor, www.podcastpanacea.com for producing this episode!
This is a hypothetical song, "Still Shot" if Eminem decides to go after yoga.
