What does it take to run across an entire country for 77 days, non-stop? Just ask endurance athlete and motivational speaker Samantha Gash. A lapsed lawyer from Melbourne, she walked away from a promising corporate career for a brand new mission: Dedicating her life to running for social change, and raising awareness for causes she cares passionately about. At the age of 25, she was the first woman (and youngest person ever) to complete the world’s toughest endurance race, the Four Deserts Grand Slam, running four, 250km ultra-marathons in one calendar year. Then in 2016, she ran 3253km across India, raising more than $200,000 for World Vision’s health and education programs in the process. Over the past 18 months, her life has taken a completely different turn as she competed on Australian Survivor, and rediscovered a whole new love affair with running after giving birth to her first baby, Harry. In this incredibly inspiring interview, Sam shares her thoughts on life, love, motivation, mental toughness… and reveals her epic new running mission for 2019.
