Behind The Horns

On episode 10 of Behind The Horns we have the honor of welcoming on Head Coach of the Minnesota Wild and majority owner of the Blue Ox, Bruce Boudreau. Wellsy takes a few minutes out of Bruce’s day to allow him to come on the show and go over a little bit about the team while answering some questions along the way. Then we look ahead to the Chicago showcase as the team gets ready to depart for their trip. Also, we look ahead to the new year as 2019 is approaching. The Blue Ox right now are 13-9-1 up to this point. The team looks to end 2018 on a high note.

Episode 9 of Behind The Horns features assistant coach Jason Wood and goalie Josh Greune. Wellsy and the guys discuss the season thus far as it is just approaching the midway point. They go over the last 12 games the Blue Ox have had where they have gone 10-2 in that span. They also recap the Boston showcase while looking ahead to their next Chicago Showcase trip coming up in a few weeks. Lastly, Jason and Josh go over what to look forward to this weekend as the Blue Ox face the Rum River Mallards. Come support the Blue Ox with the Teddy Bear Toss this Friday night Dec 7.

Episode 8 of Behind The Horns includes numerous guests. On today’s show Wellsy will interview the Minnesota Warriors. Guests include Jon Albert, Eric Reetz, Mark Jendro, and Dana Brown. They discuss what the Warriors is all about and also discuss the upcoming events for this weekends game. Also joining the show is two members of the Blue Ox staff, Travis Bennet and Emily Wydo. You will wanna hear the fun stuff they have planned for military night as the Ox take on the Moose this Saturday night November 10. #thintheherd

On episode seven of Behind The Horns we have the Midwest Boys join the show. Guest include, John Koester, Grant Smith, Alec Skradski, Nick Spolec, and Joe Shaughnessy. The guys discuss the results of the Midwest Showcase. Then preview the upcoming home and home against the Rum River Mallards; where Friday night is the food drive. Wellsy and the boys deliver all the info for that, while also talking hockey along the way. #thintheherd

On the sixth episode of Behind The Horns, Wellsy delivers a Halloween special. Which includes interviews with four of the Blue Ox players. Imports Chris Bruhn, Oliver De Croock, Geoffrey Jaquet, and Josef (Pepa) Nutil. The five of them discuss the weekend sweep over the Steel County Blades and also preview the Midwest Showcase this upcoming weekend. Then, Meghann Norrbom joins the show as her and Wellsy have some fun with some segments. Which include Netflix Nights and also The Deans List, where they go over the top Halloween movies.

On the fifth episode of Behind The Horns we welcome on two of the Minnesota Blue Ox captains Nick Mueller and Phil Schader. We discuss the Chicago Showcase which just finished. Also the upcoming home and home series against the Steel County Blades. We then finish the show talking about what the team may have planned for Halloween coming up.

On episode four of Behind The Horns, Wellsy interviews goaltender Brady Boudreau. The both of them discuss the upcoming road trip to Chicago as the Blue Ox will be playing in a showcase. Then the two of them finish off the show with a little hockey trivia as Brady's knowledge is put to the test. #thintheherd

On episode three of Behind the Horns, Wellsy interviews four of the Blue Ox players. Kyle Kester, Eric Swenson, Alex Timm, and Hunter Hansen. The boys discuss the upcoming game against the Hudson Havoc, as well as announcing that it will be Minnesota Wild Night. Where Joel Erikkson Ek, Luke Kunin, and Eric Fehr of the Wild; along with head coach Bruce Boudreau, who is also part owner of the Blue Ox, will be signing autographs before the game. The boys then finish up the show with a special Halloween segment called “Trick or Treat” along with a very controversial game of the Family Feud.

On the second episode of Behind The Horns. We have 3 Blue Ox players join the show. These players are forwards Gunnar Gibbs, Colton Ryan and Eric Worre. Wellsy discusses the big 3-1 home opener victory against the Minnesota Mullets this past weekend. They then have some fun as they discuss the day in the life of a junior A’ hockey player. Also a very exciting segment called “The Deans List” as Wellsy and the boys go over the biggest blunders in sports history.

Today on the OxPod we go Behind the Horns with Head Coach/GM/ and Owner Jay Witta. As we get underway in the inaugural episode of the show, Jay discusses what the podcast will feature. Along with what to look forward to this upcoming season with the Minnesota Blue Ox Junior A’ Hockey Club. We also dive into his past history in the world of hockey. He also shares his relationship with Bruce Boudreau, Head Coach of the Minnesota Wild and also part owner of the Blue Ox.
