 How to create and run a mastermind - EMP152 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 14:50

This episode shares how to create and run a mastermind. I researched a few sites before recording this to see if there were any tips that aligned or slightly differed from the steps that my friend and I took when creating ours. A mastermind allows you to collaborate and grow together. The saying "two heads are better than one" is so true, as you can create a "third mind" through this type of collaboration.

Just in time versus just in case learning - EMP151 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 09:57

"Just in time" stems from lean manufacturing used by Toyota. They use the "just in time" inventory approach to order parts right as they need them. This helps minimize storage costs, inventory, etc.  Similarly, utilizing just in time for learning allows you to learn information right as you need it, where as just in case learning may take up time and brain power for information you may not need any time soon if ever.

Accountability and impact with Lilo Fonseca - EMP150 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 51:10

Lilo transformed when doing the "75 Hard" program Andy Frisella created. The program not only helped him to lose weight, but it really helped him become more disciplined. His progress inspired others, leading him to create an accountability group which he runs with his wife (on top of managing multiple businesses). This group is completely free, and he has a goal of positively impacting 60 lives this year alone.

Someone in the world needs your message with Dean Graziosi - EMP149 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 24:11

This episode features the one and only Dean Graziosi. Dean knows what it's like to face doubt, to go through 4 recessions, to want to get $100K a year and then to getting to $100K a DAY.  One powerful nugget he shares in this episode is that there is someone in the world that needs more message. We all have the power to make an impact.

Don't TALK about it, BE about it with Dan Fleyshman - EMP148 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 37:58

In this episode, Dan Fleyshman shares several tips on networking and connecting with high-level individuals.  He also shares a quote he's lived by and has been saying for years now: "Don't talk about it, BE about it."  Everyone likes to talk about all the things they're going to do. The ones that make a difference in the world are those who actually DO things and take action.

Don't just learn... APPLY what you learn with Joe Gallegos - EMP147 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 59:20

In this episode, Joe Gallegos (CPA, CVA) joins me to talk about everything from mindset to how listeners need to not only listen to the episode, but should apply something they learn immediately.  Many people assume that listening to a podcast, reading a book, or attending a conference is enough, but those are simply starting points.

Begin with the end in mind - EMP145 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 10:45

In this episode, I discuss the importance of beginning with the end in mind. You have to envision the ideal state, the ultimate end goals, and then plan the steps backwards from there.  To use the terminology from my supply chain background, you could refer to it as backwards scheduling.

 The shortcut to success - EMP144 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 15:05

The shortcut to success *drumroll please* is the WORK. I know, probably not what you wanted to hear. But it's the truth.  An internet entrepreneur I follow, Miles Beckler, always says that you need to expect that it's going to take 3-5 years of consistent effort before you see any noticeable results.  You may see progress sooner, but if you have the expectation that it will just take time, you'll be able to push through and continue to show up without quitting too early.

What to do when people belittle or mock you - EMP143 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 10:30

This episode dives into what to do if and when people belittle or mock you. You may have people tell you that what you want to do is risky, or flat out a terrible idea.  I provide a few tips to overcome the negativity and continue to press on towards your goals.

Dr. Amit Koduri on the Coronavirus as well as overcoming challenges in Medical School - EMP142 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:02:16

In this episode, my friend Dr. Amit Koduri chimes in on what he's currently seeing with the Coronavirus. We then shift gears and discuss mindset as well as challenges he's overcome in his journey through Med School and beyond.  Just like the entrepreneurial journey, going through Medical School is something that requires extreme effort and persistence sustained over a long period of time, so there are a lot of parallels that can be drawn.

 Integrity - EMP141 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 15:33

Integrity is extremely important. It's doing what you say you'll do. If you aren't able to keep promises to others, you won't be able to keep promises to yourself.

 Connect with your network - EMP139 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 15:22

During this time with social distancing and working from home, it's easy to feel a little bit lonely.  This is the perfect opportunity to connect with your network. Send a text or message through Facebook. FaceTime or set up a Zoom call with friends.  Video and audio are the best ways of connecting and transferring energy / emotion versus a text or letter in the mail.

Now is the time to adapt - EMP138 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 11:16

Things are still looking pretty crazy with our current COVID-19 situation. Many people are finding themselves out of work or with reduced hours.  Right now, it's time to adapt. It's time to get creative. Maybe some of us will have to pivot. Maybe we'll have to try new things. No matter what, we'll all definitely have to work a lot harder. But remember to stay positive and to continue to take action. Do not allow fear to paralyze you.
