Mom UP show

Mom UP

Summary: Hosted by Avery Raley and a fun group of rotating guest-hosts, Mom UP was created to encourage moms in the earlier years of motherhood. With biblical truth and a healthy dose of not taking yourself too seriously, MomUP is for millennial moms who want comradery. We want you to know you’re already in the club. We have the same struggles as you do; the same worries, the same goals and the same questions about how to get where we want to go. We’re hardworking moms who want to be candid with our shortcomings and serious about growth. We want to reach high while keeping our feet on the ground. Or as we like to say, "Mom UP".

 MomUP Ep. 7 | The Enneagram for Marriage & Motherhood (Part 1) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:10:33

Welcome back friends! In episode 7 I welcome back my friend Ellen Peek, who gives us a fascinating overview of the 9 Enneagram numbers and how they work. We also talk a lot about how knowing the Enneagram can benefit your marriage as well as give you eye opening insight into your sin struggles and how to fight against them. Ellen also tells us how her Enneagram number gives her perspective in motherhood. I found this episode really interesting and I learned so much! In fact.. after this episode I learned that I most likely am not EITHER of the numbers I mentioned in the episode. So if at first you can't figure out your number.. keep trying. Ha! So you'll want to keep an eye out for part 2 in a future episode!  Are you familiar with the Enneagram? What's your number?  MomUP Ep. 6 | An Infertility Journey | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 52:23

Today's episode is one I think would benefit women in all seasons of life. In Episode 6 I welcome back Jen Gardner to talk about a very important topic: infertility. Whether you've walked this weary road yourself, or you know someone who has.. this discussion touches just about all of us. Jen is so kind to share her story with us and opens up about her journey and all the events and emotions that happen along the way. She offers encouraging advice to other women going through the trial of infertility. We also chat about what and what not to say to someone going through infertility (spoiler alert: I've totally said the wrong things!) which I find super helpful. Also we maybe get a little bit giggly and delirious towards the end... whoops. It was late? I really hope you'll listen to this episode and help us spread the love by widening this conversation that so often gets pushed down below the surface. If you haven't walked this road but have a friend going through infertility, would you share this episode with them? Let's link arms and show support for other women who are going through this difficult journey. If you enjoyed this episode it would mean the world to me if you left an iTunes review! In episode 3 we dig a little deeper into the heart as I confess to you some struggles I have with social anxiety and how it has played a role in my perceived self worth.  MomUP Ep. 2 | Loving your season when the trenches feel deep | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 51:48

Welcome to episode 2 of MomUP! In this episode I chat with the ever so lovely Ellen Peek about the "trenches" of motherhood, and how to keep your head up in those difficult seasons.  While raising little people fills our hearts till they burst, sometimes it's important to acknowledge the struggles so we can start moving UPwards. We each open up about some rough seasons we walked through and what we did (or didn't do) in the thick of it. We also chat about friendships (or lack of), depression, secondary infertility and some practical things that help us cope. Ellen is one wise lady and I loved digging into the deep with her! I think you will too. If you're enjoying the show, please let us know by leaving an iTunes review!  Welcome to MomUP! (Promo Clip) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:24

Welcome to the website for the MomUP podcast! I can't believe I'm finally here. It was last summer, almost a year ago when my husband actually came up with the idea of me starting a podcast (smart guy). After SO much trial an error, pushing the pause button a couple times due to life changes, and a whole lot of googling, we're here! And I couldn't be more excited. THANK YOU for joining me on this journey. I really want MomUP to become a community landing place for young moms. I want to connect. I want to share some laughs. I want to talk about all the stuff we're all thinking but not nearly enough people are talking about. I'm so thrilled to FINALLY be publishing this post and doing this thing. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it. Welcome! -Avery
