Rainy Day Diaries

Summary: Hi! Welcome to Rainy Day Diaries, an imperfect podcast that will dive head first into how YOU can thrive in your creative life (and business) even if you struggle with mental wellness. I'm your host Jenipher Lyn! I'm an illustrator, author and an almost mom with a full time heart to encourage others. I love animals, petting flowers and mocha lattes. As a long time struggler of anxiety and depression, I hope this podcast will help you realize you can still thrive in your life (some of the time lol) when you deal with these things on a daily basis. That you're not alone, and that falling down does NOT meant you won't get back up again!

Eps. 15 - From Passion to Obsession to ANXIETY!!!! aka My journey with Zero Waste. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

In this month’s solo episode of Rainy Day Diaries, I talk about how learning about something new (an important cause in this case!) can quickly turn into a passion… or if you’re really lucky, can quickly turn into a reason you beat yourself up. I discuss the Zero Waste Movement and easy ways for all of us to eliminate trash.  My favorite straw! My favorite silverware set! So cool story, this is one of the VERY FIRST episodes of the podcast I recorded when I was pregnant. I actually came up with the idea of this episode while at a networking event in St. Pete while being surrounded by plastic cups and pre-wrapped granola bars.In all honesty though, since I became a Mom, this has been WAY harder. WAY WAY harder. Mom Brain is a real thing, and I often can’t even remember to wear shoes when I leave, let alone remember all my reusable items, but I’m trying my best. :) Also HERE is my full list of my FAVORITE waste-free products! Mentionables:- Sad Sea Turtle with Straw in Nose - graphic.- Give Yourself a BREAK! - I didn’t know about her back when I recorded this episode but I love that she explores way to reduce waste without making us feel bad about it. :)

Eps. 14 - April Heather talks about how migraines started her art journey + how friendships helped her along the way. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Today’s inspiring episode is with Heather Davulcu aka April Heather Art. We covered so many topics, from Friendship to Illness, and how art helped her cope with her pain she was feeling. We also chatted about how one bridesmaid card changed the course of her art career.Friendship was a big full circle of topic in this episode. We talked about learning how not only to make friends as a adolescent, but as an adult as well. I literally cried while editing this. I’m so inspired by Heather (and Alyssa from episode 3)’s bravery - they both got bulled and then both joined tons of groups to make friends, even though joining things and meeting new people is scary! PS: You can tell when I recorded this, it was almost Mother’s Day! Ha! But her women marching artwork is so amazing and still available!!
