 140. Split Ep - AUSTRALIA PART: 3 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:44:53

We are continuing the fun here in MCM land and splitting up another episode.  This week Steve brings a recent discovery and Kevin brings some personal redemption.  It goes to show there is still so much music out there to discover in all sorts of genres.   Steve shows us all band from New Jersey that was discovered and listened to on a long road trip.  Sometimes those are the best times to really dive into a band and Steve has listened to their album a handful of times since.  What do you think of ManDancing? Kevin shows us a band from Australia (Really?  Another Australian band?!)  If you are into heavier/metalcore music you might enjoy the song he plays by Polaris.  Let us know your thoughts on this band! Don’t forget our Christmas episodes are coming right up as we count down the days to Christmas with showing you some of our favorite tunes.  It is a fun time of year to be listening to Music Crush Monday, we hope you are also having as much with it as we are.  We’ll see you next Monday, and the following 11 days after that!  Support us on Patreon!    If you want to listen to the episode as intended, please do not look at the featured band links beforehand if at all possible.  Check out our Spotify playlist for more of their music and please reach out to us via the links below.  We’ll see you next Monday!    Website  EmailPatreonFacebookInstagramTwitter  Intro/Outro music:  “The Breakdown” by At The Wayside  ***  WARNING!  ***    ***  WARNING!  ***    ***  SPOILER ALERT!  ***    ***  SPOILER ALERT!  ***    ***  Disclaimer:  We at the Music Crush Monday Podcast would like for our listeners to listen to the bands blind with us but we also want you to check out the band further if they were interesting to you.  Please review the links below to find more on today’s featured band.  ***    Band: ManDancingSocials:WebsiteTwitterFacebook Song Played:Kenlock off of the album The Good Sweat Band:  PolarisSocials:WebsiteFacebookTwitterSong Played:Vagabond from the album The Death of Me

 139. Julie and The Oneders | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:51:37

We are here with another fun episode where the music is picked from both hosts and are splitting up the duties. This week we are doing something that we haven’t really touched on before and overall couldn't decide if this week’s music should be from a movie soundtrack, a guilty pleasure, or just something new we are listening to. Kevin decided to go with all three options wrapped up into one song. It is a song he has some guilty pleasure because it is not the norm in his musical rotation, it comes from a Netflix show, and it is something that is currently being played at home . . . a lot! He claims his kids are ruining his street cred. What do you think of the song? Steve goes with a song from one of his favorite movies. It is a movie that he loves the entire soundtrack even just on its own so put a great movie with it is something you can’t lose on. Check out the song and let us know what you think! What do you think of the movie? What song would you pick from this movie? We are having a lot of fun wrapping up 2020 in MCM Land. We certainly hope you are enjoying these episodes. Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast so you don’t miss out on the fun and the upcoming 12 days of Christmas songs!  137. I'll Be Damned | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:37:31

The good news?  It is Monday.  Why is that good news?  You get more Steve and Kevin talking about music!  Unfortunately, we are still in 2020 but we are coming up on the busy holiday season.  Isn’t it hard to believe?!  This week Kevin is up and picked the band, picked the music, you know the deal! Kevin refers to a time when he decided to watch a live video on YouTube of the band and it was a show in a smaller club setting, no barricade, and the crowd WENT OFF!  Immediately jumping and singing every word of the song that was so loud that you could barely hear the vocalist.  The viewing of this video was at the heart of the pandemic and his eyes started to tear up with the feeling of “I may never get to experience this again!”  We sincerely hope that some day soon that we will get to be back to doing these things and experiencing live music like we used to.  Unfortunately, who knows WHEN that will be.  Kevin quoted in the episode, “I’ll be damned if the last concert I ever went to was Dashboard Confessional”  Obviously, nothing wrong with Dashboard but that is not the note he would like to go out on. This week’s featured band has had incredible success and was gearing up for a big headlining tour before things got shut down.  What are your thoughts this week about this band?  Have you heard them before and do you like/dislike them?  Reach out to us with our information below and lets talk about it!  We have patiently waited for you to respond to us!  So make sure you do that!  Also, check out our patreon page to see how you can further support the podcast!  Thank you for tuning in each and every Monday (because we know you do) which we appreciate so much!  As always, we will see you next Monday!
