Little Z's Sleep Podcast
Summary: Hey! I'm Becca Campbell, Your Pediatric Sleep Consultant. I'm here to resolve your child's exhausting sleep habits so you can look forward to bedtime. Join me here each week as we change the future of your family's sleep story for good!
Raise your hand if your child is the master of the 30 minute nap?! Or maybe you've nailed it down to exactly 33 minutes?! Yes, I hear that ALL the time! Short naps are for sure a common theme with my clients, and we work hard to solve them! What's the reason behind them? Daytime sleep cycles around about (you guessed it) 30 minutes! So typically the child is waking up after one sleep cycle and not really sure how to go back to sleep.
We see the Dock-A-Tot and Rock-N-Play everywhere! In fact, they tend to be the #1 items recommended on registry lists! However, there are so many reasons these two items really should be avoided, and are not recommended (even banned) by research and government agencies. In this episode I'm sharing my biggest problems with the Dock-A-Tot, Rock-N-Play & the Snoo.
Ever wondered if dream feeds would solve your baby's sleep? Been considering just dumping some oatmeal in baby's bottle at night? Is it true that a heavier stomach means baby will sleep longer? Is there any harm in allowing your child to sleep with a water bottle?
Leaving home with baby is hard enough, and I know you basically feel like you're moving in when you get there! But of all the things you pack on vacation, THIS is the one you won't want to forget! On today's Podcast Becca is talking with Katy Mallory of SlumberPod- a portable privacy, blackout tent to go ontop of baby's pack n play!!
Hooray!! Your little one is officially out of the newborn status and now...a baby, fully able to self-soothe and sleep well! But, you might be finding that those newborn days of 3-4 wakes (or more?!) per night are still happening. And even, getting worse! Breathe easy, I've got you covered! FOUR MONTH BABY SLEEP E-COACHING IS HERE!
It's National Adoption Month! I'm talking with Elisabeth Bean, mom to adorable Nora Bean, about her and her husband's adoption process, sleep training process and how we can support families like her!
It's the #1 excuse I hear!!! "Becca, my child is teething so I have to rock them to sleep." "I know they are teething so should I not sleep train until it's over?" "Teething is the worst! They stopped sleeping in their bed and only want me!" You're probably not going to enjoy my message today, but I'm just not convinced that it's teething! In this episode I'm sharing my teething strategies and how to maintain your good sleeper through this.
There's nothing more pathetic than a sick baby! And while sleep is the best medicine to help your baby or toddler overcome not feeling well, inevitably sickness will disrupt sleep. Today Becca sharing her favorite tools & strategies to help your little sleeper still get the most out of their Zzz's and feel better soon!
Ya'll, EVERYTHING goes back to bedtime routine! It's so important to have a solid routine that cues your baby for sleep. I love creating a simple bedtime routine with families that is stress-free, cuddly AND portable! This routine we talk about today can be started from Day 1 of your baby's life- and continue until 12 months old. No matter where travels take you or who babysits, as long as you have the same routine...you'll have sweet dreams!
Any of these situations sound familiar... You're laying with your child until they fall asleep each night. Phrases like, "One more!" or "No!" reign during your child's bedtime Somehow YOUR bed has turned into your child's bed You can't keep your kid in their own bed after you say goodnight Bedtime routine has now turned into an hour long event! If so, you will LOVE today's episode! I'm walking you through the Ideal Bedtime Routine for Toddlers & Preschoolers.
On today’s podcast I’m actually going to treat this like you are my client, and I’m going to walk through why you might need a toddler clock, how you should set it up, which types and brands I prefer, and give you some realistic expectations for using them. I know it might sound as easy as throwing a clock in their room and off you go, but there’s actually a lot to it! We have to ease them in.
We've recently launched Baby Sleep E-Coaching and it's already helping families who have started!! So many parents are already experiencing a change in their baby's sleep all because of this new access to sleep training!
Ever felt nervous about sleep training because you wanted to continue nursing? The idea that you either choose SLEEP or NURSING is totally mythical. You can have both!
