Episode 077 - Rick Mayo: Gym Reopenings and Sound Business Decisions | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3451

In Episode 077 of the D&D Fitness Radio Podcast, we sit down with Rick Mayo, CEO and Founder of Alloy Personal Training Centers, to discuss his approach to the re-opening and operation of his facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. While many gyms stay closed due to individual state regulations, Rick’s facilities have been open recently with appropriate measures taken to enhance safety wherever possible. Rick outlines the measures he has taken, as well as the various actions he has taken to keep his businesses operational and his customers happy. While many gyms are perceived to be high risk environments for people, Rick identifies the key reasons why gyms can be some of the lowest risk options for getting back to activity to improve general health.Since 1992, Rick has been operating a personal training business, Alloy Personal Training Center. In the past decade, he and his team began helping major brands and independent gyms, health clubs, and fitness businesses around the world deploy personal training systems through a licensing model under the Alloy brand, since then the Alloy personal training solutions, systems, platforms, and know-how have been used to serve millions of members in thousands of fitness facilities. The name 'Alloy' was created under the notion of strength and motion meeting; those two things coming together to create something bigger, stronger, and longer-lasting. In 2018, Team Alloy decided to transition into a franchise model. The Alloy Franchise Model encompasses all they have learned about running a successful business, from Personal Training, Marketing, Staff Management, and everything in between. You can find out more information on Rick Mayo and Alloy via the following links:Website: https://www.rickmayo.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/alloyptfranchise/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RickMayo101/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCj2LnSyAUT8F9GPoXrCB8PgThe D&D Fitness Radio podcast is available at the following locations for downloadable audio, including: iTunes – https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/d-d-fitness-radio-podcast/id1331724217iHeart Radio – https://www.iheart.com/podcast/dd-fitness-radio-28797988/Spreaker.com – https://www.spreaker.com/show/d-and-d-fitness-radios-showYou can reach both Don and Derek at the following locations: Don Saladino: http://www.DonSaladino.com Twitter and Instagram - @DonSaladino YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/donsaladino Derek M.  Episode 076 - Zack Nagle: Finding Your TrueForm During the Pandemic | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2991

Don Saladino and Derek Hansen have been fortunate enough in the last few weeks to be able to run workouts in their homes with the TrueForm Trainer treadmills. Not only have they been working on general cardiovascular fitness, they have also been implementing sets of high intensity sprints as part of their weekly routine, working with each other over Zoom calls and Facetime. In Episode 076, we are lucky to be joined by Zack Nagle of TrueForm Running to discuss the merits of running on the TrueForm line of curved non-motorized treadmills.Zack provides some background on the history of TrueForm products, and we also discuss how TrueForm has reached various sport and fitness communities around the world. With the recent global pandemic leading to shutdowns of gyms and training facilities such as tracks and sport fields, TrueForm has become a valuable alternative to running outside. And, the work you perform on the TrueForm treadmill can easily transfer to regular over-ground running once you are able to get back into your normal outdoor routine. While there are a good number of curved non-motorized treadmill options out there for consumers and fitness professionals, TrueForm provides a good combination of performance, value and durability that is hard to beat. You can find out more information on Zack Nagle and TrueForm via the following links:Website: https://trueformrunner.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/trueformrunning/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/trueformrunner/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/TRUEFORMRunningThe D&D Fitness Radio podcast is available at the following locations for downloadable audio, including: iTunes – https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/d-d-fitness-radio-podcast/id1331724217iHeart Radio – https://www.iheart.com/podcast/dd-fitness-radio-28797988/Spreaker.com – https://www.spreaker.com/show/d-and-d-fitness-radios-showYou can reach both Don and Derek at the following locations: Don Saladino: http://www.DonSaladino.com Twitter and Instagram - @DonSaladino YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/donsaladino Derek M.  Episode 075 - Don and Derek: Brick and Mortar vs the Virtual Future | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2737

In Episode 75 of the D&D Fitness Podcast, Don and Derek dive into the subject of maintaining a brick and mortar fitness business during the COVID-19 shut-downs and the slow return to normalcy once businesses re-open and try to recover. While everyone wants things to return to normal, nothing will ever be ‘normal’ again and businesses need to restructure to become more resilient. While Don has been slowly building his online and social media presence, others may not be in the position to pivot as easily during this economic downturn and the distancing public. The discussion revolves around how businesses – particularly in the sport and fitness realms – must evolve quickly to survive this current pandemic, and any similar future predicaments. The D&D Fitness Radio podcast is available at the following locations for downloadable audio, including: iTunes – https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/d-d-fitness-radio-podcast/id1331724217iHeart Radio – https://www.iheart.com/podcast/dd-fitness-radio-28797988/Spreaker.com – https://www.spreaker.com/show/d-and-d-fitness-radios-showYou can reach both Don and Derek at the following locations: Don Saladino: http://www.DonSaladino.com Twitter and Instagram - @DonSaladino YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/donsaladino Derek M.
