Drafted in the third round by the Texas Rangers out of high school, Michael Schlact was on the road to the big leagues. Unfortunately, things took a turn when he had two major shoulder surgeries. Before he knew it Michael was done playing. Unexpectedly he was offered a coaching position in Independent Baseball. This past season he was named Manager of the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks.
