This is one of the most exciting interviews on The Truth Prescription. Our next guest paved the way for other black sportscasters and people of colour in the industry. His innate ability to be able to talk truth with his guests, like Ruben "Hurricane," Carter, is what inspired other greats like Denzel Washington to want to play his role in the movie.  In this two-part Truth Prescription special, we chat with the legendary radio and television broadcaster Jimmy Myers. Even though now he is at the forefront as an artist, the interesting thing about this super talented dude is that he has written and worked with the links of Diddy, Maino, K-ci & Jojo,, R Kelly, Lil Kim, Akon and Barry White to name a few. After work at UPS in New York for two weeks, he moved to Atlanta with the hope of pursuing his dreams. He began working his way into songwriting and caught the attention of P.Diddy (then known as Puff Daddy) where he was assigned to work on writing the song “Satisfy You.” After talking to his female friends, something was inspired within him and he began to write the lyrics which when heard by JLo herself, gave him the nod of approval from Diddy for his first song. It was Pony’s mother, who was diagnosed with polio when she was 7; right before they developed the vaccine that suggested she take an internship at a Cable company.
