Mutant Frenemy show

Mutant Frenemy

Summary: The podcast that's maybe a little too obsessed with the Whedonverse... Mutant Frenemy is a podcast covering all things Whedonverse. If Joss Whedon created it, we want to talk about it. Hosted by superfan George Elsmere and a rotating panel of guests, the podcast covers Whedon’s work from Buffy the Vampire Slayer to Dr Horrible’s Singalong Blog. The podcast is released every Wednesday.

 My Hat Has a Cow | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:49:13

It's #WhedonverseWednesday and it's time to get stylish. This week I'm joined by blogger, YouTube sensation and digital content guru, Emily Jayne Hallsworth. In a past life, Emily once wrote a blog for Syfy about the style of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, so there was really only one topic we could discuss for this episode. Emily and I talked the best, worst and most iconic outfits from the series, and what they told us about the characters.

It's #WhedonverseWednesday and it's my last episode before Christmas! This week, David Whitney returns and we decided to look into what passes for a Christmas special in Sunnydale. That's right, we discussed Amends. This episode is Buffy the Vampire Slayer 's only Christmas episode, and it digs back into Angel's past. For me this was a rewatch, but a first viewing for David, and we discuss our thoughts about the episode, from Angelus' bad moustache right through to comparisons to other festive classics.

This week's episode has some highlights from the panels, and I managed to grab a few minutes with Nicholas Brendon, where we talked the Buffy comics and the Buffy and Xander romance that almost was.

This week, I'm joined by cosplayer and Geeky Brummie panellist (and Mutant Frenemy's unofficial tech crew...), David Whitney. This week, we're focussing on Joss Whedon rescuing movies in trouble. We're exploring two movies this week. We started by going right back to the beginning, with what many people claim as Joss' big break: his work on the script of Toy Story. We also got into Joss' most recent rescue mission, with his work on Justice League.
