My wife, Laura, takes to the mic to share her perspective on our beginnings and our relationship, looking back on the episodes that have made up this podcast. We also talk about our wedding day and some of our favorite moments, including an audio highlight featuring friend of the show, John Strong!
Here it is! The first part of the season finale of the podcast. Part one is a little unorthodox as I am joined as I am joined by my brother David, as well as my friends Dean and John, and things get a little...off the rails. We do take a look at the prep that goes in to the big day as well as reflecting back on single life and what has lead to this point. Buckle up for a crazy ride as we bury the bachelor!
Money. It's the cloud that hangs over us every day. You can't get away from it, and you're going to worry about it no matter how rich you are. In this episode I talk about how we've managed to develop a financial system (sort of) and at least take away some of the worry of money. In other words...I've figured out how I can still buy toys without feeling so guilty.
In this episode I take a look at the evolution of video games, which turns into a talk about technology. How it can be an equally wonderful and dangerous thing.
In this episode I show appreciation to my father, who taught me so much that I carry with me today. I do pay respect to another honorable mention father in my life, and then show how all of these lessons and experiences have made me into the father I am (or am trying to be) today. I also take a moment to reflect on how lucky we are if we have a family and can hold them close, because clearly not everyone has that same luxury.
Getting into a morning routine is a struggle, but it's especially challenging if you've spent years just getting into a rhythm to get yourself ready. This episode focuses on the struggles of getting you and your family prepared to start the day, especially with constantly changing schedules and music tastes.
Episode 20 of the podcast is directly inspired by the hype machine that is "Avengers: Infinity War," and even includes a SPOILER-FREE review of the movie. If you want to avoid the review, skip to the 9:58 mark of the show. This episode also includes a NEW segment of the podcast called "Keeping it in the House," where I talk to Laura and the kids about their thoughts on super hero movies, which is far more entertaining than what I do on my own.
The humor episode takes a tour through my life displaying my love of comedy. It starts with my early admiration of stand-up comedy, to my short stint as a comic, and finally to how comedy has helped me in my pursuit towards fatherhood domination.
Losing weight is hard. Finding excuses are easy. Fortunately for me I have nailed both. I strip down a few layers and become vulnerable talking about the struggle of losing weight, and how much harder that becomes when kids (and their food) are brought into your daily routine.
This episode is really meant for one person, but if more people want to listen that's cool too. This episode outlines the moments that lead to me popping the question, and an important lesson I learned about relationships.
This week I enter into the world of being a sports parent, and have my good friend, John Strong, to help me out.
In the first episode of 2018, I go through what a huge part the Bills have played in my life, and how I'm (very) slowly, but surely, making Bills fans out of my 3 favorite blonde people.
Ah Christmas, my favorite holiday. So peaceful and quiet. Oh wait, I have kids now. Here is a look at how much that has changed, as well as an original Christmas song called "Can't Wait Till Christmas."
Star Wars has been important to me all my life, and it takes a special person to get that. Thankfully, i found her. Hear how Laura and the kids changed my view of Star Wars
Meet a great girl and let her move in to my bachelor pad with her 2 kids and 2 cats? Check. Move in to a new house and take on a load of new responsibilities? I've got this. Get a dog? I don't got this.
