Cash App Bitcoin Integration The Cash App by Square Inc. has launched Bitcoin integration for a small number of users. Users can now buy, sell or store Bitcoin on the App. Select users can swipe right from their Cash Card page to access the bitcoin features.BitMEX Exchange to Sell User’s Bitcoin Cash Hong Kong based Bitcoin Mercantile Exchange (BitMEX) has announced they be will selling all users’ Bitcoin Cash, and credit their wallet with the Bitcoin proceeds. Anyone that was holding Bitcoin on their exchange on August 1st at 1:17 PM UTC, a few seconds after block 478,588 will be credited with the Bitcoin proceeds. London Block Exchange gains Visa Partnership The UK based firm London Block Exchange is launching a new Cryptocurrency Debit Card called Dragoncard. Users can pay with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin anywhere that takes Visa. However, holdings are exchanged to pounds as a way to spend money. London Block Exchange also claims to have a digital wallet app and a cryptocurrency exchange. UPDATE: London Block Exchange has removed “Accepted anywhere that takes Visa” from their website. We cannot confirm a partnership. American Express Bank Transfer via Ripple American Express announced they are launching a Blockchain-Enabled Cross-Border Business-to-Business Payments platform with Santander UK allowing users to send money from England to the U.S. in seconds via the Ripple network. The Segwit2x hard fork scheduled for November 15th has been postponed. The announcement was made in a message sent by Mike Belshe, which stated “we hope the community will come together and find a solution, possibly with a blocksize increase. Until then, we are suspending our plans for the upcoming 2MB upgrade.” The message was sent to a Bitcoin-segwit2x public mailing list. The most important difference between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Gold is a new proof-of-work mining algorithm. Instead of SHA256, the new coin uses the memory-hard Equihash proof-of-work function that’s also used by Zcash . Mark Yusko, founder and CEO of Morgan Creek Capital Management has made predictions suggesting that Bitcoin will eventually be worth $400,000. He stated “This will change the supply and demand equation for banking. It is that big. I’m not surprised at all that bankers, financiers and Saudi Princes are coming out against it. This is a truly disruptive technology.” . The US Secret Service agent, 35-year-old Shaun Bridges, who aided investigations into the Silk Road marketplace, was sentenced on November 2nd to an additional 2 years in jail and ordered to forfeit the stolen 1,600 Bitcoins, currently worth over $10 million .
