This podcast was inspired by this Scary Mommy post http://www.scarymommy.com/burden-being-needed-family/ that resonated with Liz and Lynne. Sometimes we just wish we weren't needed so much. How do you manage the neediness of your family, and how do you make sure your own needs aren't being neglected when you're doing all the things for all the people? Share your own thoughts and self-care tips on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/lizandlynne
Do you struggle with self-doubt? (Is the sky blue?!) Liz and Lynne are sharing a little about how fear and negative thinking can hold them back from setting and hitting big goals. Why do we keep ourselves stuck instead of breaking out and being the badass successes we know we can be? Join us as we discuss and try to break free from the fear of success.
Self-care seems to be all the rage lately, especially for moms. But what is it, and how can we incorporate it into our lives daily? Liz and Lynne talk about their own self-care practices, or lack-there-of, and share some ideas about how simple changes to your routine can make a big difference. Do you have a daily self-care practice that is part of your routine? Share with us at facebook.com/lizandlynne
You know the old saying, "Damned if you do. Damned if you don't." Well it seems lately that the saying applies to how you mother your children. Somewhere there's always someone to tell you you're doing it wrong. Mom shamers, sanctimomies, judgey mcjudgersons - whatever you call them, they are the people that seem to think they know how to raise your children better than you do. ENOUGH! Seriously, this mom gig ain't easy, and judging each other doesn't help. Liz and Lynne keep it real, talk about the hurtfulness of mom shaming, admit their own faults, and encourage you to keep on keepin' on! Rock on mama and don't let the mom shamers get you down! Danielle LaPorte said it best, "Find your tribe. Love them hard." But sometimes finding your tribe can be hard, and it's really difficult to love something you can't find. Today, Liz and Lynne talk about the tribes in their lives, where they found them, and how they have changed over the years.
Lynne is an only child, and Liz has SEVEN siblings. In this episode we chat a little about growing up in vastly different sibling environments, and how that affected our own families. How does your sibling dynamic affect your family? Join the conversation on Facebook, facebook.com/lizandlynne

Did you know that both Liz and Lynne have multiple businesses and income streams? And while neither of us actually does sell wine (yeah, we're really confused by that too) they both sell something through direct marketing. Sometimes the industry gets a bad rep, but we are here to look at he positives of direct selling, especially for busy moms! Don't worry, we aren't trying to sell you what we sell or get you to join our teams (unless you want to... ) but we are trying to help change the perception of an often misunderstood industry that we both enjoy!

Lynne and Liz talk about Focus and Freedom, and all the other words that have emerged so far this year, and also talk about the words that have taken years in the past by storm. So grab a cold one and take a moment to reflect with us.

We've all heard the quote, "Comparison is the thief of joy." Wise words spoken by Teddy Roosevelt, but Teddy didn't have Facebook! In today's social media world, it's hard not to compare ourselves to others, especially when all we see are the shiny highlights. This week, we're drinking a Whisky Sour from one of our favorite local hangout the Brick and Brew in Havertown, PA and sharing ways to stop comparing yourself to others so you're not sour too.
