In Episode 79, Jeff Belanger and Ray Auger head out to Seguin Lighthouse off the coast of Maine near the Kennebec River in search of the source of the phantom piano music that's been heard all over the island and even on the mainland. A lighthouse has been in service on this island since 1795, and today the building and grounds are said to be haunted by a former keeper, and maybe even something more sinister. The guys explore the history and the haunt.
In Episode 78, Jeff Belanger and Ray Auger take a Valentine's Day stroll down Benefit Street in Providence, Rhode Island, to the Athenaeum in search of the brokenhearted ghost of Edgar Allan Poe. It was at the Athenaeum that Poe once courted poet Sarah Helen Whitman and it was at this same building that Whitman once tried to summon his spirit. Could the master of horror still be haunting Providence? Had events gone differently would it had been Providence and not Baltimore that claimed Poe as their own?

Dating back to 1778, this haunting specter is said to be that of a French paymaster who was once en route to Saratoga, New York, to deliver gold and silver to French officers fighting in the Revolutionary War. This rider made it as far as a tavern in Canton before he and the loot disappeared. The story of this headless horseman turns up in print about a century later, and is still around today though the tavern is long gone. Look out, Sleepy Hollow, you may have some competition in the Nutmeg State.
