We’re covering another busy month of major news and product announcements highlighted by the Microsoft Build conference! And Mike Marguiles from our data and AI compete team describes the need for partners to engage and support a growing end-customer demand to migrate off competitive data platforms to Microsoft alternatives.

Many customers and partners would still be surprised to learn that Microsoft is embracing and integrating open source technology into it’s cloud services and software products. We interview Sunil Kamath from the Azure Data Services product team as well as Tim Walton from the field-based partner team for two different perspectives on what Microsoft is doing around open source.

In this month's episode, we explore artificial intelligence (AI) in depth and discuss why this technology category is in so much demand right now. Along with a survey of what Microsoft is doing in this space, Kristin Tolle from the Microsoft Cloud & AI product team joins us to explain her perspective on AI and where it's headed. Highlighting the show this month, we interview Lee Cox, Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft regarding the Azure Stack appliance. We discuss some of the core capabilities and business opportunities surrounding the Azure Stack offering.
