My brother Ben joins me and we have special appearances from my Dad, other brothers and many family and friends. I can't wait for you to know her. We talk about how she died, how we've grieved and how inspiring she was. Love you mama!
Missy talks about raising her two teenage sons, one of whom has autism. She talks about the beautiful and hard parts of raising a child with special needs and what life was like before and after getting an official diagnosis. She also shares advice and encouragement to parents who are also grappling with what it means to parent a child with different abilities. The Silagyis have traveled all over the world and have continued to make travel a priority for the entire family. So we also get some good travel tips!
Lauren, along with her sisters, owns a floral studio and event venue in Oklahoma City. She talks about starting and running these companies - the hard parts and the beautiful parts. Lauren also talks about delving into her genealogy and its importance in fully accepting and embracing who she is. I LOVE the respect she pays to the ones who went before her - so inspiring! She's also an insane musician, plays a million instruments and sings like a dream (which you mayyyyy get to hear on the show). Lauren also talks about a new initiative she helped create called The Conversation Workshops, which provides tools and safe spaces for healthy conversations around racial reconciliation and systemic injustice.
Mel talks about opening a new business with her best friend, adopting a couple kiddos, and also what it's been like dealing with anxiety and postpartum depression. Business leader Charlia Pence talks about what it was like adopting her child from Russia (as a single woman nonetheless). She talks about being a mom to a senior in high school (‘bout to be an empty-nester) and how friends and family have come around her daughter to fill “father” roles. She also shares some valuable business advice and encouragement to women who work outside the home (and at the same time - embrace where God has YOU)!
Leslie (nurse, mom of six and wife to Mark for 31 years) talks about walking with her husband through a difficult season of depression. She shares about her family's experience fostering children and adopting their two youngest daughters.

Today my friend Jayme Myers joins me and we talk about her experience losing her dad in college and more recently miscarrying her baby boy Wesley. She also shares things that are helpful for friends to do and NOT do or say when walking with a friend through grief. Jayme tells us about a little run-in she had with Carrie Underwood and an interview where Carrie talks about the worst date she’s ever been on (with Jayme's brother ;-)).
