After first gaining notoriety on Season 19 and 20 of The Bachelor, Becca is now on a Dr. Pepper fueled journey to see as much of the world as she can, go on adventures with her friends and family, and find the best shows that TV has to offer. Her best friend Tanya spends her mornings as the co-host for On Air with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles, and the rest of her time goes to navigating the dating scene, Facetiming Becca, and going to bed early. Eric Winter from ABC’s “The Good Doctor”, scrubs in with Becca and Tanya for some clinical observation. They help answer some patient questions, including one who is considering a transfer from her home physician to Los Angeles, they diagnose Tanya’s opening line to Matthew Perry, and Tanya gives the team her peer reviewed procedure for a perfect first date. Later on, financial analyst Jesse Draper calls in to offer some remedies for money issues, and how to set yourself on a financial clean bill of health.
The show kicks off with Tanya admitting she ran a clinical trial on Becca’s friend behavior, and the results are not looking good. After discussing Becca’s short lived residency with dating apps, they answer some letters from patients, and we finally get the story of how Becca and Tanya met. Then, Becca and Tanya are joined in the exam room by Katie Maloney, from Vanderpump Rules on Bravo. She gets a second opinion from the doctors on all the craziness going on in her life, both on and off camera.
Becca is late to the show because she was held up in the ER with a “hair emergency”, so Tanya runs the shift solo, which includes a visit from her “accountability coach”, Real Housewife Teddi Mellencamp, for some health and fitness tips. Once Becca arrives, they have a post-op meeting about the Golden Globes, and a discussion on if a man exists that is a full time doctor, part time Postmate. Plus, they offer some listener consultations, including one that is curious if she should audition for the Bachelor.
It’s the first Scrub of 2018! Becca and Tanya are so excited to be back together, even if one party might be diagnosed as “needy”. Their friend Jen calls in to the O.R. for some clinical results of her vision board. And some emails come in for a check-up, such as exploring if the doctor patient privilege extends to a phone password, and if unfollowing an ex really is the best medicine.
