Justin Tuck discusses the process of benching Eli Manning and the future of Ben McAdoo. He thinks that the entire process has been handled poorly by ownership and the front office. Justin says that obviously Eli’s time in New York is coming to an end and that it’s just wrong that it had to end this way. He spoke to Eli the day of the “benching” and Eli refused to be the victim. Justin says that, from The Giants perspective it was a sloppy game “almost like The Bad News Bears” tonight. It didn’t look like they made any strides as a team the week after losing to Dallas. Justin admits that he’s old school when it comes to celebrations…He says that he’s more of a “act like you’ve been there” type of guy when it comes to TD celebrations. On a personal level, Justin takes these losses very seriously. He says that he doesn’t sleep well after losses. Justin says that a message needs to be sent to the locker room: no job is safe.
Without Odell Beckham Jr, The Giants lose the season opener to the Cowboys. Ben McAdoo called his offense "Very disappointing" and said "...no part of the offense was functional" in the 19-3 loss. Justin and Matt break down the game and talk about where the Giants go from here.
Justin talks about life after football. He says in a lot of ways he's a regular person now and gets the opportunity to do a lot of things that he wasn't able to do when he was playing. He also tells Matt Mosley that he still hates the Dallas Cowboys to this day. They talk about the "blood boiling" rivalry and the importance of winning the opener against a division opponent.
