Summary: In the darkest parts of our psyches lies the potential for wickedness and cruelty. Most of us suppress this deep inner darkness. We choose the path of the civilized and the compassionate. The kind and the courteous. However, occasionally the darkness deep inside of us erupts to the surface. In my podcast I explore stories of darkness from History, Myth, and Legend.

There is nothing to fear from the full moon. It sheds light when the world is at its darkest. Like a guardian of sorts. History and legend would warn us of the wicked creatures that would appear under a full moon. Ready to devour the innocent and guilty alike. Folklore would warn us that animals go crazy under the full moon light and statistics indicate that crime rates go up. All misguided non-sense. Evil prefers the dark to the dim light.
Father Colin was used to receiving confessions. It was part of his duties. It was in the confessional booth that he first heard that voice. That confession.

Not all ghosts are evil
Physicists have speculated about multi-dimensions. Universes layered over universes over universes. Of course the scientists would tell you that we currently have no way of knowing what these other dimensions are like. What if I told you we do have a neighboring universe? This shadow universe is a place of darkness far beyond any hell we can imagine?
Sometimes evil is not a pure or calculated malevolence. Sometimes evil evolves from a clash of two cultures. Two sets of ideals at odds with each other. A chain of events that spiral out of control and end in blood.
