When RTO proved to be too controversial for broadcast radio, EP Chuck Fresh took a shot at an inspirational program. Faith, hope, and inspirational crossover pop and country hits. Great messages, excellent feedback, but the powers that be HATED it! Apparently, you can't be too controversial OR too positive. This show never aired. Chuck left to pursue two new opportunities. Karen went another direction with a new Radio TakeOver. Chuck still believes there's a market for this somewhere.

Although he’s already a huge deal here in Brevard County and I’m a total nerd for not already knowing about him, we stumbled upon Lauris Vidal at Hogan’s Irish Bar in Cape Canaveral one night while doing some research for Local Beat Live. Honestly, I didn’t even know there was a band that night. I learned a lot that day. Anyways, this guy began setting up drums in the back of the room. Hogan’s is a tiny little place. There is a stage, but it’s like 10 square inches, so it’s like, why bother? He gets his drums set up, and I wondered where the rest of the band was. Then, this guy begins unpacking what looks like a quiver of homemade guitars, ukuleles, a banjo, and instruments I’m not smart enough to understand. So I figure, wow, this is one kick-ass roadie. Then, he sits down and does a sound check. I’m still wondering where the hell the rest of the band is. Eventually, I figure out this is it. HE IS THE BAND. People were walking up to Lauris. Bro is already a rock star. We bought a couple of shirts and some swag and sat at the first table, pretty much all up in his grill. And that’s when Karen and I discovered this bro wasn’t just a musician – he was a freakin’ MAGICIAN. Lauris is a true one-man show. He ripped his boots off, set up what looked like a geometrically and physically impossible arrangement of drum pedals, sat down in front of the mic, grabbed one of his guitars, and began to play a completely fully sound that, til this day, blows my mind. Yoli Mayor is a 22-year-old Cuban-American and self-taught singer-songwriter from Miami who started singing at age two. Mayor learns everything by ear and sings straight from the heart. Industry professionals have deemed Yoli a "Miami-grown vocal powerhouse." Mayor has been compared to voices such as Etta James, Amy Winehouse, and Adele. She's the next big thing! Negative Normal Productions chief and movie genius Klinton Landress has been making short films for more than a decade.
