As we navigate these turbulent times, it’s important more than ever to remain calm, alert, and stoic. Whether you’re a busy ER physician or stressed out med-student, we all are facing adversity and disruption in our daily lives. In this episode, the team discusses the importance of stoicism.

Running on empty? At times like this, many of us are told that all we have to do to fill back up is to eat healthier, sleep more, exercise more, and spend more time with the people we care about. While these are good suggestions, the keyword here is more. How can we possibly do more when we feel like we’re already giving all we’ve got? How do we manage to take care of ourselves when our lives seem to demand so much from us and there are only 24 hours in a day? At ACEP 2019, Drew and Andy had the opportunity to sit down with two EM residents from Kent Hospital in Rhode Island and discuss an exciting program they are working on. "Until Help Arrives" is a community outreach program Tim and Landon have patterned with ACEP to bring it to their community with hopes to bring it to communities around the country. This program focuses on teaching community members lifesaving techniques in the forms of tourniquet application and hands-on CPR. So, listen as Drew and Andy learn about the great project!
