S1 E10: Jacob Morgan | How Designing the Employee Experience Will Reshape the Future of Work | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:27:06

In this episode, I speak with Jacob Morgan to talk about the employee experience and the future of work.  Jacob Morgan is a keynote speaker, a podcaster, a best-selling author, but is most known as a futurist who works with leaders and organizations to explore the future of work. His latest book is The Employee Experience Advantage - How to Win the War for Talent by Giving Employees the Workspaces they Want, the Tools they Need, and a Culture they Can Celebrate. In some of my own work, I have explored how the idea of experience - in all its uses; guest experience, customer experience, or user experience - should to be holistic and transformative.  So, I when came upon Jacob’s work on the Employee Experience, I knew that I needed to have his as a guest on the podcast. So, a while back we had a conversation and I started by asking him, “What is a futurist?" Please listen to the episode below or by listening on Apple Podcasts.  S1 E9: Mark DeYmaz | How the Church Needs to Be Disrupted | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:57:22

In this episode, I sit down for a conversation with Mark DeYmaz for a conversation about how the American Church is ripe for disruption. In the business world, the word ‘disruption' has become somewhat of an overused buzzword. To be a disruptor, whether you are a company or a visionary leader, has become somewhat of a badge of honor. But, if you talk to seasoned innovators, they will tell you that it is not all glory. Many have experienced a lot of frustration, disillusionment, and many ...have given up on their dreams all together. But, what about disruption in the American Church? Not much has been discussed about that! A while back, I had the chance to talk to Mark DeYmaz who is one of these disruptive leaders. I heard so much of my own story in his as he shared how and where he grew up, his dream of playing professional baseball, how he entered the ministry, and how he began to see ways in which the American church needed to be disrupted. Mark DeYmaz is the founding pastor of the Mosaic Church of Central Arkansas, a multi-ethnic and economically diverse church. He is also a co-founder and currently the Executive Director of the Mosaix Global Network, an organization dedicated to inspiring unity and diversity in the local church throughout North America and beyond. Additionally, he has written seven books including, Disruption: Repurposing the Church to Redeem the Community.  Please listen to the episode below or by listening on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, or Google Play.  S1 E4: Propaganda | The Vulnerability of An Artist Trying to Change a Broken World | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:50:28

In this episode, we introduce you to the story Propaganda of Humble Beast (https://humblebeast.com/). Recently, on June 30th, his new album, CROOKED, was released and we get to feature many tracks on this episode. You will learn what it means to be a prophetic voice of a generation. While it is easy to glamorize the role of a provocateur who challenges the status quo and who calls out the systemic ailing of human institutions, but it is another thing to live out a calling which is laced with vulnerability, self doubt, and painful experiences. The great artists are those who are well-versed in the areas of observation, description, and creativity. Jason Petty is best known by his stage name, Propaganda. He is known as many things; as a spoken word artist, the political activist son of a Black Panther, the black husband of a latina PHD, and the father of two beautiful girls.  Propaganda was born in South Central LA, he raised in the latino neighborhood of La Puente, and then grew up in suburban tracts of the Inland Empire. Propaganda’s life has been a story of a racial, cultural, and musical remix.  Recently, I had the chance to call him while he was engaging in one of his favorite activities, drinking coffee at a coffeehouse. I thought that I start by asking him what his perspective was like at the age of 12 years old.
