When I settled on the name of the podcast, it was a play on the fact that kids don't come with an instruction manual -- hence, "The Child Repair Guide." But what if there was an instruction manual? Evie Granville & Sarah Davis host the 'Best Friend Banter' podcast, which guides parents through all the questions about parenting etiquette and manners that arise every day. This episode was a blast to record, and I know you'll enjoy it and learn something useful for your family!
Every now and then I get to be a guest on someone else's show! Evie Granville & Sarah Davis host "Best Friend Banter," an engaging, heartfelt podcast on everything that two best friend moms might talk about. Today's topic is "Mindfulness for Parents." And, since it's one of my areas of expertise, Sarah and Evie wanted to pick my brain on what mindfulness is, how parents can fit it into their schedules, and why they should. This conversation was a blast to record & I think you'll get a lot out of it!
Scoliosis is something that most parents have heard of--but would you know how to look for it in your child? Or what problems might arise if it goes undiscovered? Dr. Mia Ortega stops by The Child Repair Guide this week to talk about all of this and more in this great, practical conversation about scoliosis in kids. Enjoy!
When it comes to parenting, it seems like people have something to say about everything. Yet often the things that are the hardest for us to go through end up not being talked about enough. Or -- worse still -- not at all. Pregnancy loss is one of those topics. This conversation with Dr. Julie Bindeman is one that I hope will be helpful to many, many people, as this is an experience that is much more common than most of us realize-- and it's something that no one should have to manage alone.
The topic of this episode is the KEY to showing your child how to find success in life. And it doesn't really matter what your definition of "success" is--career, happiness, personal satisfaction... The necessary ingredient in the journey toward success is the right mindset--a Growth Mindset, to be specific. In fact, I've decided that helping my own children develop a growth mindset is one of my most important tasks as their parent. Take a listen to find out why.
You might have noticed -- talking about gut health and good bacteria is all the rage right now: probiotics, probiotics, kombucha, fermented foods... And for good reason. To help shed some light on all of these nuances, I spoke with Dr. Will Bulsiewicz, best known as 'The Gut Health MD.'
