Stamford Chidge, Jonathan Kydd and Clayton Beerman look back on a typical roller coaster decade for Chelsea FC. Having gone through ten managers in the decade and suffering our two lowest finishes in the Premier League; Chelsea being Chelsea also managed to win three European trophies including the iconic Champions League triumph in Munich in 2012. Throw in three Premier League titles; three FA Cups and one League Cup and Chelsea undoubtedly are the top English team of the decade. This was the decade which saw Eden Hazard blossom into one of the best players in the world and we were privileged to see his entire Chelsea career. Stamford Chidge and Dan Silver join Matt Beadle for a look back at Chelsea's defeat to Bournemouth; being drawn against Bayern Munich in the Champions' League and preview our big match against Jose Mourinho's Spurs on Sunday. Was the defeat to Bournemouth resulting in 4 defeats in 5 matches an indication of a crisis or a blip and is it the reality check we need? The Champions' League draw pits Chelsea against Bayern Munich reviving very happy memories of 2012 for Frank Lampard & the Chelsea supporters, but is it better or worse than expected? How daunting will playing Bayern Munich be and can we beat them? Dan Tracey from E-Spurs joins us for The Opposition View and we ask him how he feels about Jose being in charge, given what he’s said about Spurs? Does Dan think he’s changed? Is he worried about it ending in tears? And with Chelsea being a better side away is he worried? Finally we look ahead to the match against Spurs and wonder whether it's a good time to play them and ask just how unpalatable & damaging will it be to lose? Special Announcement: Some of you may know that John Whitehead (aka @donjoninglesias on Twitter) passed away last week. What many won’t know was that he was terminally ill with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, a ferocious lung disease. Despite this John never let this dull his passion for his family, life & love of football. Although born in Spain, he was raised within a goal kick of Stamford Bridge & this began his life long love affair with his beloved Chelsea, whom he followed over land & sea (& Leicester) for 6 decades. John’s last game was Lille away in his wheelchair & struggling severely with his breathing he cheered on his team to victory. As a fitting tribute to this young father & husband, a “True Blue” a minutes applause on the 57th minute on Tuesday against Lille is being organised. When discussing this, John’s wife Kathryn said, that if he was here today, he’d say “that was the best thing to ever happen to him in his life”! So as only Chelsea can, let’s give John a “Proper Chels(ea)” send off that his family can remember please!
