Thanksgiving has come and gone, the leftovers are eaten and the Black Friday deals crushed by Ryan. Jeremy sees promise in the Lions defeat, but the rest aren't so certain. With December closing in, room for error is small, and the playoff hope is alive but slim. Rage Corner makes a return as the guys rage against bad takes, both football and food related. A guest is welcomed to join the mailbag, one of the great friends of the show, and Chris continues to become a California person.

The Prater of Detroit boys are back again. The Bears got beat and the Praters can celebrate. Prater prater prater. Prater, Prater and Prater talk about the game that was, how Prater won the game and more about the rest of the team that was along for the ride. There's prater to like about this team, and prater to feel wary about as the final stretch comes down and there's still plenty of faults to be found. The Lions enter the final stretch and we also break down our feelings on the Prater. I mean, playoffs. The long-fated return of the Bears and Lions series has finally come. Detroit heads to Soldier Field, and to get you ready Jeremy and Ryan welcome back the long-time foe of the PODcast, Robert Zeglinski of Windy City Gridiron. There's a lot to go over, injuries and updates and Rob's own crazy views about the Chicago Bears. There's plenty of banter and plenty of chances to razz one another, but will they capitalize on it?

A win's a win in the NFL, but the Pride Of Detroit obys feel a little glum after that mess. While the Lions beat Cleveland pretty well, it's not boding well when your run defense gives up hundreds of yards to the Browns. Ryan, Chris and Jeremy dissect the game that was, talk about both positive and negative takeaways for the Lions and scout the rest of the NFC North as the stretch of the season looms. The mailbag touches on some ominously-close-to-being-wrestling questions, draft options and the worst TV commercials.

After slashing the Packers, the Lions head back across the Great Lakes to tackle the Cleveland Browns. The Browns have yet to score a victory in 2017, so stop me if you've heard this story before. The Lions broke the Lambeau streak in 2015 but another victory always smells nice. But the PODcast crew also smells something fishy about certain playcalling and whatnot. Chris, Ryan and Jeremy talk about all that happened on Monday Night Football, from turkey holes to prevent defense to the still-abysmal running game. Will the Lions fix it? Tex Western from Acme Packing Company joins the crew to talk about why you have to keep an eye on Green Bay, even with Aaron Rodgers out. Jeremy braves the mean streets of Pittsburgh, which means Chris tries out new tech (and fails) in hopes of making the recording better. Chris and Ryan seethe at another improbable Lions loss, this time on five field goals and a seemingly physical impossibility to score from the red zone. Trade rumors are heating up about Eric Ebron and the two discuss the matter. They celebrate the Pistons on top of the NBA Eastern Conference, and mailbag asks about gruesome sports injuries.

The Lions took the week off, and Jeremy and Chris were quite placcid without having to worry about the NFL. Ryan stayed jacked in. His loss. But the week away was not kind for the NFC North picture, which is looking...weird? Aaron Rodgers might be returning to a flaming mess with the Packers, while the Bears somehow stomped on the Panthers and the Vikings look to try to put distance between themselves and the pack in the NFC North. Jeremy fills in the crew on what all has been going on with the Lions, and it hasn't been pretty, but at least Glover Quin might be back soon. Chris really wants to LISTCAST, so the trio unveil their top 5 Halloween costumes. Mailbag gets philosophical about mirrors and has too much fun with condiments.

The Lions got absolutely mollywhopped in New Orleans and fall to 3-3. Injuries abound and everyone is mad at Jim Caldwell. Aaron Rodgers might be done for the season but this team is struggling to keep relevant and able to exploit that weakness. The crew talks about everything they hate from this game, in another round of tortured therapy. They break down what all went wrong on both sides of the ball, yell at each other, discuss Jim Caldwell's future in Detroit, yell at each other some more, and then discuss how the NFC North will play out. In the mailbag, Jeremy shares the most bum meal he's ever made.

Chris is gone again. Jeremy fired him. Bob Rose from Canal Street Chronicles gets aboard this football trolley called First Byte and serves up every stereotype food phrase you can think about in regards to New Orleans. The Saints have Drew Brees, who is interesting tp speak about. They also just traded away Adrian Peterson, so the Lions thankfully dodge that. But what else is in store in the Big Easy? The Lions started to really look like their old 2016 incarnation as the Carolina Panthers lit Detroit up, with an improbable number of yards coming from a potentially washed-out tight end. Funny how familiar that sounds, I know. But while there's pressing issues across the defense (and more questions about the viability of Ezekiel Ansah) there's more issues to be had with this offense, which has looked anything but the dynamic and high-powered weapon Lions fans saw last year. The trio on PODcast breaks it down, while also providing commentary in our new segment "Happy Thoughts." Ryan has a Rage Corner and Jeremy and Chris get mad at the reviews.

The weekend inches closer and so does the showdown between the Carolina Panthers and the Detroit Lions. Bradley Smith from Cat Scratch Reader joins First Byte to preview this matchup. Ryan and Chris break down what's made the defense the strength of this Lions team in the first four games of the season, and they also get into Ameer Abdullah's quest for 100 rushing yards. Eric Thompson from the Dailiy Norseman hops in to First Byte to discuss the Minnesota Vikings in the days leading up to the showdown with the Detroit Lions. Last year the Lions swept the Vikings and Golden Tate butt-flipped on Andrew Sendejo. This year, the Vikings have something called "Dalvin Cook" and "a running game."
