The 2017 NFL season ends with a bang. The Philadelphia Eagles banish the Patriots to the depths of hell, but Matt Patricia clings to the edge of the crater and crawls his way to Detroit. The PODcast crew is, unsurprisingly, not buying into the argument that Patricia is a bust because of one game. But damn, what a game! Reactions abound to the new Lions coaching hire and the Super Bowl alike. Meanwhile, the other Pats coordinator, Josh McDaniels, flaked on the Indianapolis Colts, which leads to wild speculation and theories as to why this happened. Mailbag tackles TV dinners, shuttering Detroit sports franchises and other curious conundrums.

The Super Bowl! The final game of the NFL calendar! But with the Detroit Pistons stealing the spotlight on national sporting television, the NFL seemingly got Alex Smith traded to Washington in a deal we're still trying to wrap our heads around. Chris, Jeremy and Ryan open by discussing Mr. Smith going to Washington, and then talk some Super Bowl coverage, Matt Patricia and prop bets. There's also some news about new Lions positional coaches. They also discuss the impact of the XFL announcement and the latest news on former Lions player Titus Young. Mailbag talks chips, esports and that massive Pistons trade.

The Eagles and the Patriots will face off in the Super Bowl, and the Pride Of Detroit guys discuss reactions from the two games from the weekend, and Jeremy feels for Minnesota being stomped. Lions news takes over as assistants are getting picked off left and right, putting the team on the back foot for personnel. Meanwhile, the Giants appear to have wanted Matt Patricia and whiffed, and it's a small storm in the New York media about what happened. Ryan lays out some nightmare scenarios where the Lions could still whiff on Patricia too. Mailbag discusses Super Bowl food.

The trio fight about which teams to back, Jeremy turns out to be a VIkings fan, Ryan get up in arms about slander and the guys measure a Alabama lineman's name for the name tournament. It's a fresh new year and the Lions are hunting for a new head coach. Chris tries to get the gang to talk about the game that the team played on Sunday that is being ignored, but it doesn't stick around long. Chris returns for adequate hosting, and the rest of the crew gets together with Rob to preview the mid-December Saturday matchup between the Bears and Lions, the second round of a thrilling rivalry. It's a well-earned break from Detroit Lions football and a way to kick back and see who will be entirely adequate (FOR ONCE IT'S NOT CHRIS) and how many Pokemon games Evan might have on his list.
