Coronavirus has us all thinking of ways we can optimize our bodies for peak performance – that is, unless you’re Kristin Weitzel of Warrior Woman Mode. Kristin’s been in this shit since ‘92 (as Biggie would say), and she’s here to walk us through the biohacking options – even if we’re stuck at home. The ladies talk about everything from Blue Cannatine, which is all the rage in Silicon Valley, to taking ice baths, which is all the rage in Kari’s bathtub.
Kari and Ashley are comin’ in hot from quarantine, and discuss in detail their experiences leaving India during the COVID-19 crisis – plus what happened to their friends (one gets police lockdown, the other is still stranded in India a month later). The financial implications of COVID-19 have already hit the ladies hard, and they discuss their next steps. Ashley has a big move coming up, and big news about her family. Both ladies experience visa problems as a result of the coronavirus.
Kari and Ashley hit three continents in three weeks, starting with the US for a work trip and Brussels, Belgium for a birthday. Next stop: Goa, India for the Holi festival. The Noname Guesthouse in Arambol sponsored the lady’s stay, and Holi was everything the ladies thought it would be. The ladies left Amsterdam the same day the first case of coronavirus showed up in the city. A week into their India trip, it becomes clear that they need to get out of India – and FAST.
It’s a new decade (depending on who you talk to), and the Gringas are ringing in 2020 in typically epic fashion – starting with a masquerade ball for New Year’s Eve. Kari goes through a breakup and Ashley deals with a bike accident, which kicks off a discussion about some hardcore Amsterdam biking injuries. The ladies talk about goal setting and achieving, as well as their New Year’s resolutions. There’s also a story about Helen Keller that you don’t know, and won’t want to miss.
Ashley and Kari head to Antalya, Turkey to celebrate Thanksgiving and get their medical tourism on. The ladies kick it off with some Botox and fillers, at around a 75% discount on what they’d spend in the US or Amsterdam. Sourcing a Turkey in Turkey turned out to be a surprisingly difficult endeavor, and the ladies visit a sketchy theme park.
Ashley Osmond is introduced to the podcast audience as the new co-host. She comes in hot with stories of her appearance as “Kate” on The Celebrity Apprentice and her high-profile family. While Ashley was in Utah, Kari was coordinating a Magical Mystery Birthday tour that took her through 7 countries in 3 days: Turkey, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Switzerland.
